    Default ATTENTION STEAM USERS

If you started your campaign through the game engine (You started RS2 clicked single player, imperial campaign) You are not testing the correct thing. You need to type in the specific modfolder of the faction you are testing on steam's "set launch options" panel.

When you start the mod it should say "Play (yourfactionhere) campaign"

It should NOT say "Play single player"

    Example:

Instead of just: "-mod -nm -show_err"

    You need: "-mod:Your_Faction -nm -show_err"

Ok... so, I think I might've found a workaround (I have steam but not RTW on steam so I don't know if this would work).

Having said that, this is what I did:

Since I have all the relevant data and such in a separate folder away from Steam, I am able to take the RSII launcher shortcut and add that TO steam as a non-steam game. I am able to launch the game via the launcher. I don't know if this is doable with an actual steam copy of the game since I'm not familiar with how the whole bloody affair works. But that's one workaround, I suppose.

    So what could happen is:

    people download the mod

Install it to their steamapp folder that contains RTW

Go into that folder and put the shortcut of the launcher on the desktop.

Add the shortcut to steam and run it there.

I wonder if this works. There might occur a conflict between the launcher .exe and the RTW/BI/ALX .exe. See http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=379137. I asked SgtLong to test it because he has steam versions of the game.
