the nolimits+upkeep mod does not work properly? The upkeep is same as vanilla.
Thanks for pointing that out...I had to re-download this myself to see what the problem was and I cant believe I even uploaded this file.....it had nothing to do with the upkeep or unit limits
just uploaded the wrong thin by mistake i guess
I took that file down and I will make a new one here real fast
sorry
ok here ya go made a new one that works and checked it all out in my game works fine...
I reduced upkeep even further with this one about 75% from vanilla. Units in this are pretty cheap and you can produce great numbers of armies I also cut the recruit time in half for units
Thanks, I was thinking about giving the militia units a 0 turn recruitment as I believe they should be able to be called upon with pretty short notice so as soon as you hit the end turn button you got your units and do not have to wait till the start of your next turn to get the units
thank you for your sub-mod:Upkeep_unitLimit_buildtime;i play whith NTF and this is better mostly the minor faction
what is the difference whith the others?
Just wondering does this work with all units, new untis added by unit packs, or just the vanilla units? I got Darth Mod and there are alot of soldiers in Portugal that are only one regiment, and seeing that they are the only special soldiers, I'd like to have multiple of them(excluding the marine infantry.)
thanks
It's not possible to make a "generic" no limit mod.
The limit is defined in one column of the Units table.
So if a mod adds a new unit, it adds a new line: this line exists only for this mod, and so if the mod puts a limit, you cannot remove it unless you "patch" the mod, and this has to be mod for each mod
im sorry but can you show me the link to the mod ?
Easier to learn how to do it yourself, it's very easy with PFM.
it work on savegame, doesnt it ?
you edit the common game data, so for this yes it works on savegame. Except that if you decide to add a limit, but you already have recruited more than the limit, the extra units won't disappear. But if you want to remove a limit, then no problem.
damn when i try to add the unit table to my mod it says: added files must be added in relative directory or sub directory...
I have a pack, then the db folder and then the folder building_units_allowed or something like that.
The problem is: i want to add the folder unit_tables in the db folder. It doesnt let me do that. It also doesnt let me put the "units" table anywhere except directly in the pack. How do i place another table in a new directory?
There are several tutorial explaining how create basic mods.
where is your mod?
