    Default SCREENSHOT TUTORIAL

Okay I suggested there be a uniform method for posting so here I am.

Firstly, we need to download two things:
    FRAPS - found here http://www.fraps.com/download.php
Bulk Image Converter - found here http://sourceforge.net/projects/bulkimageconver/

Now that we have those installed let's run through the whole process.

Load up FRAPS before you enter RSII. The default key to take a screenshot is F10.

Once you get some screenshots, exit the game and locate the folder FRAPS installed to (mine can be seen below). This is purely for reference to guide the BIC program to the designated folder.

Now load up BIC and find the screenshots folder.

FRAPS saves BMPs which are large, so we want to convert them to Jpeg. I delete original files to avoid confusion but you don't have to.

Now we go to an image hosting site. It's recommended you open a second tab to do this, one for the forum post, and the other for the image host. For this tutorial I will be using ImageShack.

Browse for the Jpegs you want to upload and hit Upload Now.

From there you go to a selected picture. Take the direct link and copy it.

All you have to do now is put it on the forum by doing this:

Your screenshot should now be in your post. It's suggested you group screenshots together under a spoiler wrap to keep things neat and organized.

    Happy posting!

    Good idea.

As a side note : things to include in priority are economic graphs, detailed information when there's a bug (I already have been staring at a pic trying to find what was wrong), and a few words about the feeling of the campaign, the difficulty, ... Screenshots convey useful infos, but some aren't.

Small correction - you only need Fraps for all these, you dont need that Bulk Image Converter...
Run Fraps... select screenshots and check jpg, default is bmp...

I believe it is only available in the full version, which is not free.

Even better if you get the imageshack toolbar which allows bulk uploading of images.

Or just download Pict.com. It's an image converter and you can upload your shot from this tool without open image shack and doing again and again all this process!!!!

When I click on Jpeg it asks me to register. Not sure how you are able to with the free version. You must have got a lucky download

I'm open to editing this, as I know for sure my method is not all that efficient. Keep the suggestions coming and I'll check them out.

Ahh. I don't want to advocate the usage of Piratebay as many are afraid of viruses and illegal downloading.

with ImageShack you don't need insert image just use the forum code that ImageShack provides. then just delete the part "uploaded with image shack" and presto! you're done (maybe handy to use spoilers)

Just as a note, ATI Tray Tools can take screenshots in like 5 formats but it appears to me you can only take a maximum of 3 and I couldn't find a setting to increase that. I decided to just switch to Fraps

I prefer photo bucket as you can keep everything nice and organized in albums. The only downside is that unless you actually pay for an account you have size limits on your pictures so it auto makes them smaller

If anyone knows of a better converter (ease of use, remembering input/output folders, saving settings, etc) let me know and I'll edit the guide. I tried DDS but couldn't get it to work, the convert button was always grayed out. I probably wasn't using it right so if someone uses that and can assist me with it I'll update this.

You don't have to register for that I don't believe. Did it ask you to before you could upload? Also, since you are registered, what are the benefits?
