Hi I am enjoying this mod quite a bit. I am playing as Japan but I cannot recruit Japanese units in foreign territory. Is there an easy way to turn off or remove the aor mod? It's really frustrating.

hehe, it is a pain. I ended up only using 5 units per stack so I could at least have SOME Japanese units in every army, using the area troops in territories as the expendable meat of my army--1 unit of Yumi Archers, 1 unit of Samurai, 1 unit of Yari Samurai (spear), 1 unit of Samurai Cav, and a General.
Sorta off-topic:
Once I consolidated my rule over Central China(+Korea after they betrayed me), a lot of Chinese died in my campaign across Southeast Asia, India, and Mongolia. After those were successful taking Russia and Africa with 20+stacks of an Asian continental coalition was quite easy. By then, the Ottoman empire bordered mine from Egypt to Baghdad and all the way north into Poland(they had also managed to chew up most of the HRE and bordered Spain, near Italy...Spain destroyed France by the time my spies even got to Europe over-land, threatening to take Rome itself). I decided to betray them(I allied with the Turks against the Khanates in the north, the Indian empire, and Portugal-occupied south Africa in the south...i sent a Diplomat to Madagascar to catalog the strange and wonderful creatures there!...I'm a dork, I know) and attacked Baghdad and Egypt (many southeast Asian and Indian elephants died in my middle east and south africa campaign) and chased Spain out of the rest of North Africa(but was stopped because of Spains great victory over my navy off the coast of West Africa...and because I ran out of elephants by then so skirmishes into Iberia were out of the question until I had some muslim+african troops). Meanwhile I built up about 5 stacks of crap units in the north and threw them at Scandinavia(which was overly anticlimactic) and mopped up the rest of the Ottomans and HRE with the remaining troops from there and the Middle East(I left the Ottomans in control of Jerusalem and Rome, in Spanish hands, was spared when I took the last of what remained of Spain in Europe(I had been at war with Spain almost from the start. The Philippines was a tempting target en-route to Australia, and the Spanish Emperor: a very distant threat)). I ended the game then, Spain in the Americas was not going to withstand the entire world bearing down on them(by this time my navy had made a comeback and was already blockading the entirety of the east coast of north and south America), especially not with my foothold in Canada pumping out natives. Through all of that, I think about 3/4 of the Japanese troops I had recruited were still alive (and thats a conservative estimate), most of the early ones still on the front lines(and had been at the moving front for a couple hundred turns). And I still want to play the Japanese again!
Edit: I don't know why I like to play this way, but these are the rules I give myself:
No changing Capitals (and if the Capital is taken it must be reinstated as Capital as soon as it is recaptured).
Only armies with Generals can leave occupied territory(ALL Generals must either be garrisoned at the front or commanding an army, with the exception of the Emperor, the Prince, the royal family and those adopted into it. Royal family members occupy captured capital cities, but I give up this particular part of the rule once the empire stretches from Japan to Jerusalem...on a side-note, isn't it a pain when one of your generals half-way across the world is promoted to Prince and it takes 20 years to get him back to your Capital?)
Only Armies with Japanese Troops can initiate battles (using Japanese troops was the whole reason I even got this mod).
Border territories must have a fort and some locally recruited troops garrisoned (delete after front moves and garrison moves up and temporarily defends newly gained territory, disband in recruited territory afterwards)
All free upkeep slots, and ONLY free upkeep slots, must be used (except when moving out armies for attacks into enemy territory).

How long would it take to remake that file?
However long it takes you to delete all the hidden resources and change which factions can recruit each unit.
