RTR Errorrssss!!

I installed RTR platinum v1.9 i try to run and it says

"missing file RomeTW.exe"

any suggestions, answers whatever, please help!

You shouldn`t have reinstalled the game. The problem is you didn`t install the mod in the right place. Older versions of RTW install by default in an Activision folder, while newer ones(since Sega took over) install by default in a folder called The Creative Assembly. RTRPE`s default install path is to the Activision location and I`m guessing your game was actually installed in The Creative Assembly folder. As a consequence, the desktop shortcut can`t find the executable of the game since it isn`t in the same place. You need to direct the RTRPE`s installer to the actual place where your game is.

Why can't the installer just do what most installers do: search the registry to figure out where the product is installed?
