Arabic History, Literature and Philosophy

Hello every one.

I am planning to translate some of the works of literature written in Arabic that contain information about our history, philosophy and way of life.

The topics that I have chosen are completely secular. They are not religious in any way. They are merely historic stories and short novels and sayings of Arabic philosophers.

This will take some time to complete though. And I was wondering, would that be OK by you, do you feel excited about it or would it be some thing that you prefer not to read?

Yes, it is ok. You dont need a permission, mate. Have to say, i´m not "excited" for it, but as every literature, if its good written and has a interesting topic, i will read it, at least have a look on it. Maybe just keep in mind there is a specific forums for Philosophy as for History and also for Literature.
So, bring it on.

There is not enough translated Arab works.

If you can translate some works that haven't been translated before, or are hard to obtain nowadays, it will be legend.

thank you all for your replies, you have motivated me greatly, and I am grateful. As soon as I graduate from college ( a week from now) I will start translating some of what I promised to english and if I had enough time I would also translate them to german
