    You should just always remember that before you want to publicly release anything you should ask the original author for permission and even then credit that person in the same thread/post as you preview/release it.

    Alright here is the alpha stage of the Haradrim hero. What do you think about the model? It's made out of many models (credits to KK and Bilwit for them, and yes Legolas is one of them ^^) that are in the original Third Age Total War release. Do you guys like it? I have not done pretty much any skinning on it yet because I need ideas.

    My current ideas:
    - replace all the wooden parts of the chest with golden chainmail.
    - place golden 'top parts' on the wooden rods on the back and around the headpiece.
    - replace the Legolas sword texture with some pure golden sword, add a snake on it somewhere.
    - create a unique brosche texture.

    The beta version is ready, damn I think I got it right.

    Well guys, if I were you I would not mess with him:


    EDIT: Oops as I've checked my own screenshot I noticed a small UV map mistake I made.
    Now the wooden rods at the back use the proper texture.

    Hehe I think a skull would be too much. I like it clean as it is. Above in the spoiler you can check some more screenshots. I tested the model as uruk berserkers so yeah but don't worry when it's released it will be a general so no army of them of course.

    This looks very good, keep at it.
    May I suggest you make another hero in a more "serpent guard" look (like an incredibly rich noble hero)?

    I have a suggestion in the middle of all these

    What if you make more versions of the all the units you are reskining? so they would look a bit different e.g. berserkers

    All the old versions will always be available to download. In a sense what you are suggesting is already in place. Other than that... it's already totally insane amount of work to me to do this. Even to upload all the screenshots etc... I'm just an amateur but I have a big heart when I do these things. I can be really really happy when I finish one and it's good. ^^

    The new ones replace the old ones, they would have to be a different file I would think. Though, I already suggested about having more variety. This game is attack of the clones as it is

    On another note, I can not use this, WTH! It comes with an error that warriors of penith gilath can not be found, NONE OF THESE FILES EVEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH GONDER! Sorry, but this game annoys me how easy it is to get some crash. I do not get it, it is so oversensitive.

    It's impossible that my mod caused this error. Maybe you installed the non compatibility version on top of some submod?
    But other then that I did not touch any Gondor unit.

    Anyways I've decided that the harad hero is going to be the faction leader after all. Behold Khuzaymah the emperor of the southern lands:


    I know the texture on the eyes and such could use some improvement but what's the point. In game it looks as good as it will get. The game engine would blur it off anyway. ^^

    EDIT: New screenshot, the first was half assed.
    I'm broken now after all the f**ing vertexes and faces that didn't want to bend to my will.

    on my profile i have some pics of 2d art shields, one of them is a shield i created for harad, if you like it you might use it for a noblemen shield don't know if it's good enough but i like it

    The eyes are fine! It makes him look like he has heavy make-up, a la ancient Persian or Egyptian. Alternatively, he's got some half-troll ancestry so his face is generally f-ed up!

    That's a good idea! You should make a half-troll hero!

    Hehe the make-up is intentional. I totally love arabic / egyptian eye paintings. I couldn't resist.

    I think the eye is bad man, the pupil is too close to the nose. This can be fixed in the texture itself by moving it a bit to the right side.
