Basically they have a complete new model now that is mostly from the Reaver. The heads, hairstyles, weapon, shield, shoulder are from the old Raiders. The body, arms, legs, feet are from the Reaver. The helmets I had to re-adjust so they are somewhat new. After this model was done I made a complete new texture from parts of my Ugluk texture, parts of the Reaver texture and then created the new parts and recolored the whole thing. It has not one thing pretty much from the old Raiders. I also created some new faces on the model as there were clipping around the neck and hair. ALAS! The black pajamas plauge my armies no more! Haha but seriously awsome job. KK I'm going to put this in all caps so you hear me all the way in Germany, "PUT THESE URUK-HAI RAIDERS IN THE VANILLA GAME!" That is all. (And yes KK can HEAR post, hes just that godly)
Edit: Once my most hated unit could quite possibly be my favorite now. I can't tell you enough how happy I am with this change. don't see how it could get much better.
Edit #2: So did you basicly put the Reavers armor with retextured shoulder armor and the sheild with sword? It looks awsome!
Edit #3: Are you going to add the White Hand of Saruman to their sheilds? You had it in the older Raider version?

Very good point about the above, we do not decide whether you will do something/how, but we can always point out things that will make it better. Since you are offering it as a download, you obviously care about what we want, otherwise you would not bother. Basically you get to use us a reference, and we get to download it (which I am very glad for that). I like the system, you get to be a dictator about what you actually do, but we get to download it, and at the same time critque it a bit for your benefit.

I agree, it does improve it, but I do not really think the philosophy of it, is really about real combat, more about just balancing certain parts, and then having lots of other stuff, I mean it does not just change the EDU after all. But, I really do not want to argue this, you can see that arguement here:RR/RC is a well made huge mod package but I don't like it and will never use it, far too complex and it has loads of things that are not to my taste. ME Enhanced is really awesome, I think some of my units might be included there. On that note tc, how are we supposed to add the other units, how am I supposed to know how to do add them, or are they just simply replacing files already there? The problem is that all I do is copy and paste, without really knowing if it is a replacement file, or not. It is not a big deal, still got to wait for version 1.0 to come out.In your first versions, all I did was simply copy and paste. I know, I am ignorant, I do not have the time to figure things out, considering how ignorant I am about modeling in general.

Berserker, I've seen your work and you have done a good job with it. The problem is that RC has a ton of mods I will not want in my game... for example that Lore Mod... some random guy talking in a very low quality microphone in a language I cannot understand. Might as well implement some Russian mod into RC too. I mean I do respect that the Lore Mod made such a research and work to record all this but frankly I would never ever want such thing in my game.
About changing the balance... I have some stubborn honor code in my head that changing game balance is cheating... I totally feel like good factions are completely overpowered in the game (especially elves), when you play VH/VH with evil it's so f*ing hard while with elves it's still a walk in the park. But I refuse to change the stats... maybe I'm just not experienced, maybe I do something wrong... I try to improve my gaming instead of making my units stronger. I hope the team behind Total War will figure the balance.
The thing is 90% people on the forum tend to play with Elves, Gondor, Dwarves and heroic victory their way through the game. I mean when you are playing as elves... your units are insanely strong and but you are outnumbered 2 to 1 so they find it balanced. But when you play something like Orcs of the Misty Mountains... your units are insanely crap but you are still outnumbered the same way because the AI has infinite money and scripts that spam units for them. It doesn't matter if a units is more expensive if the AI has infinite money (it does). A full stack elven army is like 3 times as powerful then a full stack goblin army.
Anyway ... balance whine off. I will get back to my models... ^^

Edit: Good point! So if I just made it for plain and simple tatw (which I never thought about). See when I first did it, people were like "people will not download if it is not RC compatible," so I did that, and now I am like >_>
Anyways, the part about the good faction is so true, but why are you sayying my mod does that? I think you totally missed the point of it, no wonder no one paid attention, I know I am inducting, but I bet you are not the only one to think that. No no no, my mod is totally different, it makes it both ways, it makes the factions so much different from each other. I challenge you to try it (when I make it compatible for regular TA), which I do not think will take that long anyways. First of all, if anything, it makes the good faction at a disadvantage, WHICH IS HOW IT SHOULD BE! Which is why I am playing as isengard right now.
In fact, on my thread, it has some realistic unit icons, which you should try out here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...=352414&page=7 have way down, YOU should do that for the evil side.

this will be my only post on this, as this is for brevi's reskins, but for balancing combat you need to change more stuff than the edu. and yes rc/rr adds more stuff than battlefield balance, but i consider that a bonus. it's all a matter taste i think, some people like rc/rr some people dont.
