    The troll model was done in like 30 minutes... I kind of rushed it. I was tired after Khuzaymah... that one took multiple days. I will recheck it later.

    Yeah I agree. For the model altering I used Milkshape myself. It's not very advanced but good for starters.
    I recommend you read Alletun's guide because it's awesome and very well put together. That's where I started learning.

    The troll helmet is back on the table boyz! Now the trolls regained their diversity. Also as suggested the maces are slightly smaller but their handle is longer (feels realistic this way). Please feedback!

    Nice diversity. Maybe loose the front part entirely so the face shows like this one here :



    And now that I look at them maybe the feet need some reworking they look like elephant hoofs...

    Here is what I found IMHO it would look much better.


    (Just look at the feet the rest is awful.)

    Nice!!!

    I like to point out, I did not use to have the problem with my gondor unit models not showwing. It was after a certain version... I will try to slowly introduce your work into my data to catch what is doing it perhaps.

    Here is a BETA preview of the Isengard Raiders (I have done no new texture yet so, only model). I've added to their diversity, they can now have either one of 2 different hairstyles or one of 2 different helmets. They can also use a shield that has a white hand painted on it and one that doesn't. Please give some feedback.

    Don't forget to completely redue the torso textures too . That is literally the only unit I don't like in Isengard.

    The feet / legs will be reworked. Expect something like the Heavy Uruk-Hai feet.

    Don't worry I won't. ^^ I plan on making a mix between the Heavy Uruk chest and the Uruk Reaver chest and maybe some personal changes. They will also be gray / black in color. I think a bit of color could add to the value but we need them to be different even from far sight from Uruk Reavers since they have a lot in common now... Reavers are generally brown so these guys will be grey / black.

    Well no. The higher tier Uruk-Hai has to have something unique to them.

    You don't really understand how different versions of the same model are included I guess, it's not like adding two lines of text to some place. You need to manually add each part of the model in the mesh file, attach them to the bones and textures, edit the textures so the new parts of the model are added to the old texture, and then remap the UVs so they fit the new texture. I already had to reduce the texture quality of the helms by 50% (!!!) to add them to the model. There is no way you can add too much more to this model. The helmet would be possible (cause it's already there kind of because of the Uruk Banner Carrier unit) but it's something I don't want to do.

    All models may use a maximum of two textures for ALL their parts included. For example this Uruk-Hai Raider model has 2 different shield models, 2 different head models, arms model, shoulder model, 2 different hair models, 2 different helmets, a body model, a sword model and I might have missed something still. The Uruk-Hai Archers and Uruk-Hai Banner Carriers use the same two texture files and they have quite some parts too. Now imagine how much free space there is in such a texture. I can tell you this: not much.

    Helmets look great so far. Same with the white hand texture on the sheilds. Good work.

    -Yeah could anyone explain to me what they are suppossed to have on? Like I said alls I see is a black blob with shoulder armor on. No disrespect to Alletun, the rest of his units are amazing.

    yes, it is a pain trying to add variations and keep texture quality, although i have to say you keep a pretty good balance

    Yeah and also variety is not something I want to see with any other Isengard unit. As mentioned by Lebre earlier: 'the entire Isengard was made by Tolkien to critizise industrialism'. The Uruk Pikemen and Heavy Uruk-Hai definitely should not have variety, they look awesome with all of them looking like the same, marching towards something with no worry in them about their life.

    They are supposed to all look the same, all have been mass produced and I like it that way. I think adding further white hands and all that is unnecessary too.

    I do this variety for the Raiders because it's an early unit and I imagine they are being rushed as they are put together for the war... some gets a helmet some doesn't. Also as they are classed as 'Raiders'... they are not exactly an organized unit... it's more like a band of Uruks that join up to raid some village, burn and stuff like that.

    That's how I think about it anyway.

    The Uruk Archers will most likely get the helmets too as an addition to their hairstyles.

    WOW. those are looking great! if you make the uruk arches even as cool as those raiders, then we will have some uruk scouts.

    if you have an unit of the new raiders, arches and an unit op uruk cleavers, then you have almost the uruk scouts from the movie.

    Just be careful with the install. If you have 1.4.1 clean install, you just copy and overwrite the normal version of my submod. It should work without any problems.

    If you have other submods already installed... oh well it's kind of complicated then. You need to download the compatibility version and add the units you want to use by editing the code... :S

    Wich progams can i use for textures? i cannot open any textures with milkshape or wings 3d. ?

    Read Alletun's guide please. It's linked somewhere in a previous post (or just search for it in the download section). He describes all basics about textures and how to convert them or edit them.

    The new and final version of the Uruk-Hai Raiders are ready. Tomorrow I will finish the Archers.
    I'm totally pleased with how it ended up. They look totally amazing in game.
