    Default Trouble with R:TW cheats...

Judge if you must, but I like using cheats.

However, there seems to be a problem. I can only use each cheat once in each continuous playing session. I can use add_ money one time, then if I want to use it again I must save and quit the game and then load it again. Same goes for all other cheats. Even if I use the process_cq [name of settlement] cheat, I can't do it to multiple cities or to a city multiple times. I recently reinstalled it, which is when the troubles started. This used to only be a problem with the oliphanut cheat, but now that I've reinstalled it it's true to all the cheats and it's a nuisance. Does anybody know what's going on, how to fix it and how I can use alternative ways to cheat?

And I'd truly appreciate it if you spare me your ranting about killing the fun out of the game. Thanks!

Both male and female walruses have tusks and have been observed using these overgrown teeth to help pull themselves out of the water.

The mustached and long-tusked walrus is most often found near the Arctic Circle, lying on the ice with hundreds of companions. These marine mammals are extremely sociable, prone to loudly bellowing and snorting at one another, but are aggressive during mating season. With wrinkled brown and pink hides, walruses are distinguished by their long white tusks, grizzly whiskers, flat flipper, and bodies full of blubber.
Walruses use their iconic long tusks for a variety of reasons, each of which makes their lives in the Arctic a bit easier. They use them to haul their enormous bodies out of frigid waters, thus their "tooth-walking" label, and to break breathing holes into ice from below. Their tusks, which are found on both males and females, can extend to about three feet (one meter), and are, in fact, large canine teeth, which grow throughout their lives. Male walruses, or bulls, also employ their tusks aggressively to maintain territory and, during mating season, to protect their harems of females, or cows.
The walrus' other characteristic features are equally useful. As their favorite meals, particularly shellfish, are found near the dark ocean floor, walruses use their extremely sensitive whiskers, called mustacial vibrissae, as detection devices. Their blubbery bodies allow them to live comfortably in the Arctic region—walruses are capable of slowing their heartbeats in order to withstand the polar temperatures of the surrounding waters.
The two subspecies of walrus are divided geographically. Atlantic walruses inhabit coastal areas from northeastern Canada to Greenland, while Pacific walruses inhabit the northern seas off Russia and Alaska, migrating seasonally from their southern range in the Bering Sea—where they are found on the pack ice in winter—to the Chukchi Sea. Female Pacific walruses give birth to calves during the spring migration north.
Only Native Americans are currently allowed to hunt walruses, as the species' survival was threatened by past overhunting. Their tusks, oil, skin, and meat were so sought after in the 18th and 19th centuries that the walrus was hunted to extinction in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and around Sable Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia.

Did you patch up to 1.5?

At 1.5 everything should be repeatable.

Aye, v1.5 allows repeated cheats (I prefer the term 'console enhancements') whereas earlier versions pre 1.5 offer different, albeit similar, enhancements but on a one-off basis.

Download links for RTW patches can be found in this thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=169585

    1) download the patch
    2) put is somewhere safe (I have a series of folders where I keep my downloads)
    3) you may need to uncompress the file if it's a zip
    4) run the exe and point the install at your game folder
    5) run the game and verify that it's patched to the correct level - look at the top righthand side of the options menu

I'm on 1.0 after a reinstall, do you need to get 1.1 before 1.2 etc? Or can I slap 1.5 straight on?

With regars to spoling the fun of the game, I've found I sometimes have to correct things that are ridiculous and spoil the game using the console. In a WRE campaign I've just been doing several times Byzantium and Ravena were besieged and the AI *instantly* spawned siege equipment. This will not do.

that sounds more like a bug then a feature.

anyway, you need to patch to 1.3, and then to 1.5 (1.6 for barbarian invasion) all patches and patch information are available on totalwar.com (the rome part of the site seems to be down right now for some reason, otherwise i'd give you a link). If you go to support, then to rome, it will have a list of patches you can download for free. Also yes, they will be saved as zipped, but iirc the apllication in the folder will do almost everything for you.
