Default Problem With Nation After Been Unlocked

I have done the following to unlock the other nations.

in Rome - Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign == descr_strat.txt i copied all the unlockable and locked nations and pasted them into the unlocked section and deleted the entry unlock since there would be nothing to unlock i figured it would be pointless leaving it there. The only nation left in locked apart from the entry for slaves is "romans_senate". So the new entry for the nations looks like this.

    Code:
    campaign imperial_campaign
    playable
     romans_julii
     romans_brutii
     romans_scipii
     egypt
     seleucid
     carthage
     parthia
     gauls
     germans
     britons
     greek_cities
     macedon
     pontus
     armenia
     dacia
     numidia
     scythia
     spain
     thrace
    end
    nonplayable
     romans_senate
     slave
    end
Now i start as Britan. I figured it would be a tougher challange to have to manage all those towns and get them to start making a profit whilst trying to protect and expand at the sametime. The answer was no i disbanded all troops i didn't require any more and set all towns to very high taxes, then built all available building that would help increase the amount of profit made from each town. By the end i was making over 12k per turn and when i finally decided its time to start expanding i found myself stuck, no boat nothing. I looked in each town and nothing. I could not recruit ships, i carried on playing since it was my first time ever trying to build a boat since i'm new to RTW. After a few game years had passed i checked again and still nothing.

In the end i moved RTW into a new folder marked modded version in the program directories and reinstalled RTW again, doing what i did to unlock the nations i punched play on the Britan nation and as soon as the game loaded i checked to see if they could build boats and they could, they even started with a boat. So my questions are.
    1) why doesn't Britan start with boats any more?
    2) why can't they build them?
    3) how do i make it so they can build them?
    4) In the next update (if there will be one) are you going to make sure each nation can do what they are ment to be able to do eben if locked in your mod?

Perhaps you could make a toggle where you could have the ability to turn features on and off, you could have it so all nations can be unlocked via the option or left as what ever you guy's have set them.

    1) You are nto supposed to play Britain
    2) Cause of question answer 1
    3) you cannot + as above
    4) doubt so.

This mod is meant to be played as Roman. Its balanced towards that. Britain is not really an option.

Can the British get across to the mainland in the game when they are still locked of course?

You say its been ballanced towards the Roman nations, does this mean that other none Roman nations have some advantages that they didn't have before or did have but have no been increased do to balancing the Roman nations out?

this mod was designed with the intention of playing as rome in mind. One of the things Lt(maker) did was remove boats for britain since he thought that the way they expanded in vanilla was unrealistic. It means that they are much more difficult to attack as romans now, since they will defend what they have with a lot of troops.

its certainly possible to play non-roman nations (well except for britain since they can't expand) however its a far easier game, since another thing Lt did was stop most nations from attacking each other. This was because of a problem with earlier versions of the mod where a faction would expand and conquer half the map meaning you spent most of the game just fighting them. Now they tend to defend their homes much better and you get the variety of fighting every faction. Of course it means that if your a non-roman game, then you are almost completely safe from all attacks, making the game easier.

The creator doesn't like it if you bungle with his mod and he certainly doesn't like it when you do so without his knowing and approval. Out of respect for the creators work i am locking this thread.
