Default Need help with Getai Campaign

So, I'm playing as the Getai on M/M, and it's been pretty rough. As everyone always says, blitzing at the start of the campaign is generally the best strategy if you're in debt, and this tactic has worked for me flawlessly in previous campaigns. However, with the Getai, their FMs have so few movement points that it took 4 turns to get a decent army to the nearest Eleutheroi town at the start, and I had to keep spending turns trying to take about 2 or 3 more Eleu towns before I could actually get some decent income from trade. All the while, I was deeply in debt, so I couldn't even build any economic buildings at my capital. By the time I had 4 settlements, I was about 10000 mnai in debt and couldn't do anything to increase my economic situation (besides raising taxes to very high) because I couldn't build anything. Even the taxes were almost useless because none of the towns in the area had any population.

Does anyone have experience with this campaign that can give me some advice?

I take Sarmizegetuza (sp.) and the build up my economy. You have some Eleutheroi provinces between you and the Macedonians and the Epirotes (who keep each other busy those first few years), so certainly on M you shouldn't worry for an invasion.

After that create an army to take 2 more cities and take your time to develop them too.

After that you're pretty much ready to take the world with the units at your disposal.

    1) Sarmiszegethusa. That's a very important city for the Getai anyway.
    2) Kallatis. Destroy the Greek barracks there (returns $200) and build up trade buildings (that port is really good...) and a level 1 regional MIC.
    3) Either Naissos or Gáwjám-Bastarnoz, depending on which is farther away from other factions on either side.
The first two are priorities though, after taking them you should be back in black already.

Keep a tight economy, focus on health, mining, and trade buildings. Don't recruit many troops. The initial settlements are close to each other, which enables you to use a "roving defender" between them instead of large garrisons.

In my VH/H campaign I was worried about being swamped by AI enemy stacks early, so I put everything together and got Sarmizegethusa first, then went out and conquered the Celtic towns to the northwest. I left Kallatis and the Bastarnae for later, since I wanted it to take longer for the Sarmatians to get to me. Same with the Thracian towns to the south. The upside was that I got some reliable mediums (Boii swordsmen) for use quickly. A lot of those towns have pretty weak garrisons at the beginning of the game, too.

Of course, you could just put together everything you have and head straight for Pella. Pella is worth so much money per turn its ridiculous.

Well I have some experience with getai .

Firstly you should take Sarmisegetuza then Naisos after that go to Kalatis now you're looking on the map like an egg .

Now you have three options go north to Olbia and Gawjam-Bastarnoz or west to Eravacow and Scorcouw

or to go south to add to your empire your brother the Thracians ...

Most probably Esperios will take Sardike which often rebels to you Now you're at war with Esperos .

Don't destroy the army from the Serdike and go besiging Tylis after that go secure Serdike .

When this job is done go to Pella and conquer it .

Don't atack Byzantion this will put you in war with Pontos .

After doing all this stuff you can take Byzantion but important don't go in Asia minor .
You should go take off all Grece if you want . The main reason of not going in Asia minor is that you'll go in war with AS or Ptolemaioi and you don't want that not know later you'll have time to punsih this mans who calls you Barbaroi .

And the second reason is that Getai can't build up level 2 Mines but the hellenic can so let them building for you in this time make an empire in europe if you go in war with roma try to keep the border in just one region to defend it easily i usualy do this in Segestica . When the level 2 mines are build up in Asia minor go after them this will give you a really economical boom and you'll conquer Nikaia and you'll become an Pavel-tar the mans who united all the thracians under a banner .

For the army I'm using an combination

    one Family Member
4 Units of Dacian Medium Cavalary or 4 units of Thracian Medium Cavalary or 2 of dacian and 2 thracian (they are for pursuing and for make an shock atack from behind )
4 units of Elite Thracian Infrantary (with two units of this I kiled 4 romans Post Marian cohort very good shock infrantery man and they will run just when they remain less then five )
4 Units of Dacian Heavy Phalanx (this man are the units who will keep the line ... very good indeed)
2 units of Elite Dacian Skirmisher very good in combat
2 units of Elite Scordosci Infrantery ( to get acces to this unit you must buil type 4 government in Scorcouw )
2 units of Drapanai (Dacian Falxman)( excelent shock infrantery but you must take care of them to not geting atacked by any auxilary troops )
1 unit of Dacian Elite Infrantery from Buridava (they are elite this is enough i can't add more ).

Is an expensive army but you can easily overrun any heavy infrantery of The romanoi . the only army that is good enough to keep you in a really alert are the Ptolematic Elite Phalanx .
