My 2 yr old son, the saboteur!

Guys-

I need somebodies help. I was reinstalling mtw2 to play this beautiful mod, when my 2 yr old pulled the plug on the computer as the installer was extracting. I can't uninstall mtw2 to start over and it looks like mtw2 is installed, but it won't play. So, I am stuck. I know this is not an SV problem, but I came upon the problem trying to get to SV.

HELP!

Eh.. Just delete the medieval 2 folder, if nothing else works?

If it doesn't work, try cleaning up the windows registry.

I've cleaned the registry and downloaded a fresh m2tw gold and am installing it now. Hope it works. By the way, I think I'm going to go with this mod, but tell me, what makes this one better than dlv? I have not played either, but I want something with good roleplaying and historical accuracy. Thanks.

I can't speak to DLV. I've not played it. To me, C2:SV is just an excellent mod in its own right. Feature wise, its all the things missing from Vanilla with a a grand range of different eras. The AI can still behave like a moron so ratchet up difficulty to where you feel challenged. At VH/VH, my High Era Crusader states where soon driven to extinction despite everything I tried. At H/VH (with additional wisdom gained from lessons learned in my failed campaign), the same Outremer survived and thrived. Faction difficulties differ markedly in this mod. Enjoy it. It's great!
