    Icon4 Foreign Legions Mod 7.5 -New British and Austrian Updates

    Factions Available! Britain, Austria, Russia , Prussia (No Flag) alongside the original France.

    Why I made this mod.
    I've always been fascinated with foreign troops fighting for another nation, so when I found out Napoleon had many foreign legions fighting for him, I decided to make a mod about it since nobody else did. There are no startpos for these units because I think you shouldn't need to run over your allies just to get the unit.
    And I recycled the Bavarian helmets from my hats mod.

    Videos by Naxzul, thanks for these!

    Peninsular Campaign Units!
    I decided to, unlike most modders, do things the "right" way and make the Foreign Regiments fit in with vanilla units for the Armee D'Espagne, this means giving them the brown pants and undercoats some troops wear. I've also changed the uniforms to the 1811-1813 period. Some may love this, others may hate it.

    What each download is which.
    Foreign_Legions_Fra = France, the pack file inside is France only, also.
    Foreign_Legions_Rus = Russia
    Foreign_Legions_Brit = Britain, now Mediaupload file.
    Foreign_Legions_Aus = Austria
    Foreign_Legions_Prus = Prussia

    The reason there is no shared pack file is because the AI has a habit of spamming custom units. This mod is intended to be used only for the player. So when I play a British campaign, France doesn't spam the units I made for it unless I turn on France's pack.

    Installation:
    1. Click one the attachments below for the faction you want
    2. After it's done downloading, extract the pack and loc file to your NTW data folder (My Computer/Program Files*/Steam/SteamApps/Common/napoleon total war/data)
    *It may also be called "Program Files x86" for Vista and Windows 7 users*
    3. Tick the the box for the Foreign Legion mod you want to use in Mod Manager, or alternatively go to your user.script if you have one (*YOUR NAME HERE*/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Scripts) and enter in the following depending on what mod you chose: mod Foreign_Legions_mod.pack; mod Foreign_Legions_Brit.pack; or Foreign_Legions_Aus.pack; or etc depending on what mod you want to use.
    4. Launch the game and enjoy.
    The loc is a modded version of the latest UPC, meaning you can use this in conjunction with other mods.

    I will happily take requests as long as you post a picture and a brief history of the unit you want to see.

    Special Thanks

    very good! I love the Tir du Po!...I re-enact that unit in my second life
    Only two observations: 1)The early-style long jacket is a wise choice, but the turnbacks in the lowest part of the jacket should be red. 2) The turnbacks in the waist and in the hands are pointed, not squared like the linemen's ones.
    This is the plate we used as reference to create our uniforms: (also in the table there are references about the legion piemontaise and the legion du midi)

    Cheers !!

    I think you know this site http://empire.histofig.com/-Troupes-hors-ligne-.html (on the right side of the page you can choose in "sous-rubrique" the plates you want to see, you have here a part of the foreign troops of the french empire.

    Great job mate, but I have texture clash with some of the other french units in my "all in one" mod?? I will investigate and report back

    EDIT: Ok the mod does not work when i use user script with no other mods? I get CTD when choosing a map!! when I use with my "All in one" mod it works but I have texture problems? screens below of the 7 units with texture problems etc..It also looks likre you are using an older diffuse file to the current French one since last patch? maybe this is problem.

    EDIT2: Got the mod working on its own (I had a mod that was causing a CTD - animation mod) I removed and got mod working again, still got two units that appear with incorrect colours?

    EDIT3: There are three units that have incorrect uniform colours (Brown etc..and your unit card and screens show diffrent color) for the Unit cards

    1. France_Inf_Line_French_Portuguese_Infantry
    2. France_Cav_Light_Portugese_Light_Dragoons

    Emperor - I have changed Unit cards if you interested on the three units!

    I have also found that your mod works with AUM, bar07 and georider units!! but I cannot get your mod to work with my "All in one" mod as there are 5 texture clashes with some french units and colours are diffrent in uniform (as per screens above)?? any ideas on rectifiying this problem mate?

    Nice work, and very accurate of the research. I have a small correction on the "Italian Velite Grenadiers" , the have red instead of green in torso.
    All the units are a very good addition to the game , The only thing that I don't like is the absence of the AOR , something that is a mistake from CA not you .
    keep on +rep

    It's LM's French skins that's the problem. I think making a new atlas might work, but I'm not sure. Thanks for the UI cards, do you think you can do the rest + info cards? I've tried scouring TWC trying to find someone to no sucess.

    Soult, I tried as closest as I could to get the uniform right. I'm sorry if it isn't perfect.

    Georider, thanks, I'm just using CA's vanilla colors. Maybe I could use your skin with permission?

    See my hats mod in the sig. It has a version of it that only changes Bavarian helmets to the ones in here.

    Toon, does that mean you won't be helping me make cards?

    I would help mate, but there are no others to be adjusted??
    Are you also looking to add to this mod, as I was gonna include in my "All in One" mod mate? but if you are gonna update on a regular basis i will leave as standalone mod?

    I would help mate, but there are no others to be adjusted??
    Are you also looking to add to this mod, as I was gonna include in my "All in One" mod mate? but if you are gonna update on a regular basis i will leave as standalone mod?
    Well, there are always unit cards that need doing, the Irish and Hannoverian Legion fusillers are off and the grenadiers are, too.

    And yes, you can add the rest of my hat mods in into All-in-One. I was wondering when you would do that.

    I cannot add any more of your hat mods to my mod as some of them are for 1805 period and I am trying to focus on 1812+
    If you think I have missed any can you tell me which ones and I will add? I cannot use the Russian mod as it conflicts with Lord Mongsworth unit mod, thanks mate

    Well, they aren't quite what I wanted. You should've used cards that look more similar to unit for the card, not the stupid ones I picked with a few color changes.

    Also, what about info cards?
