I was more concerned that it was 27" and only 1920x1080, I would expect at least 1200 on a screen that big.

Nice rig BTW, but you could have built it yourself for a lot less, I could show how much but it might break your heart so I won't but if you enjoy it who cares?

    edit
Hold on £240 on freaking MS Office? Are you mad? If you a student or know anyone that is you can get it a lot cheaper and Open Office is just as good and it's free!

I used to game on a 28" 1920x1200 monitor. Now I'm on a 40" 1920x1080 screen and the amount of viewspace you lose is minimal between the two resolutions.

I fully agree with you on Open Office. Seems how it does everything why would anyone pay money for the MS version...

Well i was going to build it on my own, however i priced it all up and it came to same similar price that and lack of detailed knowledge building it.

I have 4 days to cancel this order if I'm un-happy with it,If you say you can slash this price down by a great mile, if you could help me out and prepare it I'd appreciate it Freddie.

I don't need help building it since I've built a few computers including the one i own currently but i just don't really have a clue with all the high tech stuff what should work with what for maximum output if you know what i mean?

like buying a car, you learn where the parts go but don't have a clue what sort of performance parts you should get the to get the best out of it.

And the office thing is is i had student before hated it it's pretty much half of the final software package, I had 2000 pro so I thought id get the full package and then not have to worry about it for the next 3-6 years of my life lol. I detest open office i prefer having a full version of MS office and having the support with it.

most colleges dont accept open office formatted papers. So if you want to get a grade on your paper at all you have to us MS office.. unfortunate but true...

Are you trying to build a media centre PC? I've just noticed you have a TV card in there as well so I was wondering where is this PC going - the living room or the spare room/office?

Here's a custom spec PC I could build that with a mild overclock will give you the same performance as above but in reality a lot more to boot. In this rig I've included an SSD for a fast boots, faster game level loading times, snappier OS (apps just open instantly no more waiting around) and a 1Tb Samsung F3 Spinpoint for storage.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Yours is £2450 (once your take off £300 for the monitor) and mine is less then £1700 and I get free delivery to boot. Hell I could get another HD5870 and put it in godfire........sorry crossfire and it would still be £400 cheaper and you get a better case. I don't know what PSU that PC Specialist spec build you quoted is using but I'm using arguably the best PSU on the market oh and you get USB 3 and SATA 6 for future proofing. The only things your losing is the TV card, a bit of speed on the blu-ray, key board and mouse drive and the warranty, but you do get warranty with individual parts so it shouldn't be that much of a worry if something goes wrong. The bottom line is the above PC saves you £750 hard cash (and more if I down graded the sound card and lost the SSD) and you get a better PC to boot!

Thank you, I would love to build that PC even if it weren't for myself as I could get to see just how awesome that sort of hardware is like first hand.

Good point, however not that i have anything against the internet freddie, but for all i know he could be a Nigerian entrepreneur that uses old generation computers leftovers dumped on the shores of Africa...I joke Freddie

Freddie could more or less build a blueprint and then tell me where to buy the parts that way it's more or less building it.

I mean i know how to put it together, but i haven't a clue these days about what is good/bad/okay specifically i want a computer that i can keep for the next 3-6 years that will run games like empire or demanding strategy games on full pelt without not lag or mishaps.

I've never had a computer that's been able to do that, now i have a little money aside i want to get what i always wanted.

My limit so to speak is £2800 that's maximum i have and want to spend no more than, this includes any extras like monitor or cooling units, i don't want flashy lights or cases just something simple yet powerful.
