What is the best AI for gunpowder battles avaliable ?![]()

I usually don't train gunpowder units coz they are lame and stupid but have u tried lusted's AI which is in the SS 6.2 it's a really A+ AI.
But haven't seen gunpowder units action in it.
ishan he wants to know for his mod he is making oh and if you take off fire_by_rank they become very very effective![]()
but fire by rank isnt more accurate for gunpownder battles? special if is 18th century?

ya because in med 2 fire by rank has the first rank fire then walk to the back of the formation for the second rank to fire. but if you take it off the first rank will fire then kneel down then the second rank fires. i also noticed that they dont like move there formation when their targets move to the flanks but then again you probably already knew all thisthe thing is they fire to fast though. if you use empires reload animations or lengthen the animations already there then the reload would take longer so then it more historically acurate. plus then maybe we would see the 3rd or 4th rank fire

hey if you have any questions on gunpowder battles you can ask me as i often play around with the settings and stuff with gunpowder units (still trying to figure out how to get a bayonet type animation though so they dont get obliterated by cav
) oh and one more tip: when making your mod make sure you put the loose formation the same space as the normal because the ai never seems to keep them together (they also almost always keep there troops in column too

well this is tricky decision for one side fire_by_rank is accurate but isnt very nice they run to last rank (easily break formation), meanwhile without fire_by_rank they dont shot rank by rank (bit anarchy lol) but they keep formation
regarding loose formation its possible make it activated since beginning via EDU ?![]()

oh and if you take of gunpowder_unit they mass fire but lose the reload animation![]()
i have no idea im a horrible modderwhat i do is just make sure the loose and tight formation is the same size. i just play around with unit stats and go to custom battles with them so sorry but i have no expirience modding the ai and other stuff
