Default A thank you for smack!

Apparently smack has been unable to come back to us and has been honored with the rank of senatorii, I feel privileged to share rank with him. Smack was/is one of the most intelligent unique people I have ever met online and has a real love for life. I hope he makes all his dreams come true and lives a good life. He has my respect as a fellow ex staff member and my admiration as a friend.

Thank you smack, I only wish I could be as poetic as you.

My fav smack quote: Cant tell you JM, Hex staff nondisclosure.
Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

I did not know smack well enough to deliever the (undoubtably deserved) eulogy; but from what I know, I shall say a few words.

Smack always struck me as a superb moderator and staff member; always helpful, and extremly intellegent. His work for this forum has been much appreciated by all.

I hope that he is in good health, and is maybe able to return sometime.

    Good luck to smack !

I also didn't know him as well as I possibly should have. No, as he was a moderator and a consul, I should have made an effort to get to know him. Or maybe not. I dunno. Either way, the little I saw of him confirms that whic has been stated above.

Smack was one of those amazing mixtures of competence and easy-goingness (is that a word? ). He always did his job, but he did it in a way that made everyone else relaxed. Even being warned by Smack must have been a rather relaxing experience.

Smack was one of the impromptu promotions during the hacker attacks which I was ecstatic about. Smack, level-headed, efficient, cheerful - it's a real loss to TWC to see him go.

Thanks, Smack, for all your hard work, and I hope you can find the time to return to us soon.

There really isn't anything left to be said. I agree with what people have said above, and of course good luck to smack, hopefully he returns here one day.

An extremely fititng eulogy for a moderator and administrator who most certainly deserved his rank. Smack was absolutely key to getting the site back up and running after the hack attacks, as well as playing an extremely important part in getting the vB set up working properly. He made countless other contributions to the site behind the scenes and was a superb choice for Consul as Spartan's replacement. I am quite certain that his presence on staff will be sorely missed.

This really sounds too much like a funeral for comfort. He's still probably alive, you know.

Hopefully indeed, it would be very sad to lose him forever. Hoefully he will come and at least say goodbye like carousel.

He was a great moderator and made magnificent contributions to debates here. I can only hope that in his absence from here he is governing something far more important, for that is truly what his posts suggest he deserves and will excel in.
