Friedland is easy if you play it non-historically. There is a cliff/outcrop to the forward-left of the Grand Army's starting position. Fortify the top of the outcrop with your artillery, placing your infantry on the ramps to the left and right. Send your cavalry to the far left flank and swing by the Russian right flank when their attack begins. When the Russians commit all their infantry to a full assault on Lannes (not the initial skirmish), send your cavalry up to sweep the Russian general and his artillery off the ridge. Then it's a matter of sitting on the heights and firing canister at Russian infantry as they trickle toward your position.
I had serious trouble with the Nile naval battle but finally got it due to a combination of sheer luck and micromanagement using the slow-motion speed setting ( replay over in the previous thread:
