Default An interesting vid about Constantine.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D52qNvFLQt0
It is a bit biased but it could be an interesting resource for vids throughout Constantine's campaign, like, you show a bit of it at the strat, then a bit more when maxentius is beaten, then a bit more at Nicaea, etc.

What have the Romans ever done for us?? apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?

It's the Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire. It's a good doc-drama.

I don't understand why the one who's posted this on youtube have edited it with all that silly lightning effect though. It looks just awful.

ya it is a great doc-drama only problom is they dont sell it in the US! I had to buy it from the UK and convert it from PAL formt to my comp just so I could watch the damn thing on my ps3! it was worth it! You guys over the great pond are lucky when it comes to history...all we have is the history channel and when its not showing A marathon of 'Ice road trucker" or "Pawn stars" we get a lazy half done, no research, Bias acount of the Romans using lorica segmentata during the fall....then back to random reality shows for the next week...

Yeah I didn't like the lighting either. Good to hear there's a proper version too, perhaps it could be used as vids in EB as a whole?

I don't think it fits the timeframe of EB though ( doesn't that mod end in the early 1st century AD? ), but maybe you meant IB? And how do you mean for it to be used? As an intro movie or something?

Anways, I can recommend the series, it also got a nice episode about the events that lead up to the sack of Rome in 410.

I saw it youtube a couple of weeks ago. Definitely one of the best doco-dramas I've seen on Roman History, dramatically good as well. Costume and armor is well researched and fairly authentic for the period.

I think Rome: Rise and Fall of an Empire is great except for the costumes.
