Default Arctic Acclero Twin Turbo Pro problem~!

I have an MSI 4870 1GB that looks exactly like this:

When mounting the aftermarket heatsink, the long heatsink to the right of the stock heatsink (I think it's for the GPU RAM) is too long, even if I bend the fins to sort of go-inside the fins of the aftermarket. This makes the accelero utterly unable to sit on the GPU properly. It's supposed to support the HD4870 line, and it does, but it just happens to not sit on my specific model. -_-.

Anyone have any recommendations on something smaller that would fit? Primarily from a shop that would ship to Canada.

Zalman ZF 1000. You could go for the GV 1000 but I can't find it on newegg.

It doesn't cover the whole PCB so there's space to put in the VRM (or GPU RAM, I dunno) heatsinks.

Just take it off you don't need it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Fortunately I was able to take it off (I found that it's a VRM heatsink not RAM) and the accelero indeed comes with VRM 'sinks which after some time reading the weird instructions I was able to properly put on. It's reduced my temperatures from 56C idle to 36C idle. It runs quiet and I don't need to adjust the fan speed ever, as the 7V solution makes it run at a static speed that is perfect for both gaming and idle desktop usage.

Aftermarket coolers rule. My 4850 overclocked 680/1050 with Scythe Musashi never goes over 50C load (ambient temp 25C).
