Default Campaign does not start.. Help (Windows 7)

Hello guys.. I bought a new laptop recently.. I installed EB, all anxious to begin the game, BUT, it sends me back to desktop as soon as i push start campaign, saying it is something about the resolution.. Anyway, i re-launch mod, try out historical battles, works perfectly, but not for campaign. I then launch campaign in vanilla and there are no problems.. Weird huh? HELP!

    Thank you for your time!

    PS: Its Windows 7

If you use the Trivial Script, disable the movies in the settings dialog, if you use a shortcut, add -ne to the target line.
Are you running the program in compatibility mode? Desktop rendering and visual designs deactivated?
Which GPU is in you system, are the newest drivers installed?

correction: I reinstalled the EB outside program files (i found a similar topic) it said nothing about resolution but still ctd me to desctop just like that..

anyway, trivial script wont run --> it says: row: 0 description: failed to open file

im running the file just as i installed it, i did not change anything (compatibility --> you mean: right-click,properties ....?)

about the visual designs ill look into them...
which drivers do you mean? (i think i got em all)

Thank you for your time Xsamatan and all others who help, whatever the outcome, thank you for your time, your the best gyus!

edit: how to check out gpu?

    + tried running with compatability...

Try once to run the Trivial Script with administrator-rights, maybe this can do the trick.

Yes, compatibility is found in the right-click menu, properties and than compatibility.

If you bought your laptop new, then there will be the latest drivers installed, I'll think you can look up your GPU aka graphic card either on your description of the laptop or in the device manager.

Can you run a validation and post you results here? If you have problems with the validation, please see Installation validation for a first information.

    results of validation: nothing...blank...

tried a few times always blank. I also tried to run trivialscript as manager, it wont open it again (in details says that it could not load script.xml)

graphic card: mobile intel 4 express chipset family ( i didnt buy anything powerful )

If you have a blank result, see the post in the linked thread and get the altered validation.
The validation turns up with a blank Notepad document on Vista? Try to get this altered validation which stores the results directly on the C: disk, where it should be allowed by Vista. You need to unpack it in the RTW folder where you installed EB.
Did you install EB 1.2 in the RTW folder or into the EB folder? The first is the right direction...

When i installed EB i created a copy of the original folder and installed EB there... Everything i installed went to EB folder.. You mean the original RTW?

Ok ill try to reinstall EB, and will run the altered version of validation..

Ok, lets see if a shortcut solves this problem. Create a new shortcut to RTW.exe and edit the target line. There you add (without ") " -mod:eb -show_err -ne -nm"

I'll dig into that validation problem.

Sorry i was offline for so long..

Anyways, i did the shortcut and stuff but it did not work because it said i the path was incorrect (maybe i put it in the wrong way). Also i tried the same with eb just like rtw then copy paste but nothing happened because of the trivial script..

    Pls HEEELP!

PS: i have gold edition, if it helps you in any way

If it says the path is incorrect, than you made a mistake.

    Create a shortcut to RTW.exe
Open the settings and edit the target line
Add the line in my previous post.
