Hey was just wondering if it is normal in EB for the AI to lay siege to a city and just wait it out until it surrenders? In RTR and in vanilla when the AI sieges a city it creates siege equipment and attacks; however, in EB the AI just sieges a town and waits for the city to starve and then instantly kills all the troops there: is this normal?

    AI is unmoddable, so yes.

I've only had the AI try and starve me out once, and that was because it was outnumbered, mostly it just assaults after 2 or 3 turns

This is actually rather smart on behalf of the AI. Storming a well defended position is always a risky venture. What I tend to see is one half besiege a city wait a couple of turns for another to show up and then attack. Rarely they try to starve you out, but it does happen.

Even more interesting is when factions with mostly cavalry armies try to pull that trick, and when you sally to meet em they just flee. I quite like it, makes me add more planning to forces in a province and where will they be located.
Any community that gets its laughs by pretending to be idiots will eventually be flooded by actual idiots who mistakenly believe that they are in good company.

People complain about the AI being dumb and then they complain about the AI not rushing to attack a well fortified city.

    I don't even know anymore.

this is quite new to me.
i only had the AI try and starve me out when my defending army was equal or superior in strength than the AI's.

...BUT of course they failed lol
