Default A thank you for Carousel

Well TBN pointed out that Carousel is now a senatorii, I imagine the recent changes in his life have ment that he cant do his bit for TWC. However I would like to be the first to give thanks to him for all his work and effort making TWC a better place.

I dont think I have to say more, Carousel you have my respect and my thanks. :original:
Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

    Good thread, JM.

Carousel, it's too bad I never got the chance to work with you. You were a great moderator, level-headed and fair. I hope you'll be able to return to TWC very soon.

I would also like to thank Carousel for his work, I knew him only a little as he left before I was a civ or anything, but I know of the good he did TWC, and am sad to see him go.

Carousel always seemed like a nice, contributing member who did much for TWC. I hope that someday, whether on staff or not, Carousel becomes active again. 'Til then, bye and thanks

I haven't had the pleasure of talking to carousel in a long time, I hope he returns soon!

Bonjour mon compatriots.... I dont speak french very well. Alas I have returned.

Firstly, I'd like to start by apologising. I was gone for a long time and I really should have renounced my position. It wasnt fair to leave the site with a ghost staff member for so long. Thankfully however, the site is still here.

Secondly, I'd just like to explain why I was gone. I moved flat mid-september and the flat I moved into is brand new SO... I had to wait a LONG time to get a phone line installed and then a long time to get broaband set up. Today (halloween) I have only just got set up, so here I am.

Thirdly I'd like to thank everyone for thier kind words. Much appreciated. Seeing many of the usernames here brings back good memories. Thank you for that.

Fourthly, and I beleive I am correct in saying that my position has been renounced for me, I am perfectly happy at this action. My only complaint is that it should have happened a while ago

Lastly, I have to announce that, whilst not becoming completely inactive, my stops here at the TWC will be less frequent. I have recently acquired a job, 20 hours a week, which on top of the 30 odd I have to do at uni really fills up my time. As a semi parting grace (and somewhat ironic one) I'd like to thank TWC and its staff for giving me the skills to attain this job (its largely computer work, and the mention of TWC on my CV was enough to allow me an advantage over my competitors). May I wish you all a happy future, and I'm sure that TWC will be the launchpad for many more people. Long may it continue in its success.

Au revoir for now, but I'll cya's around

Enjoy your retirement among the ranks of the Senatorii, my friend. The title carries that much more respect now that you grace its ranks!

Well, you did say that if we thought it appropriate to remove you, we should ("we" presumably being Sulla).

It's one of my (many) regrets that while on staff I never got to work closely with you Carousel, your work with ES really helped to keep the site going during some rather dark times and it is a great shame to see you off the staff.

My only advice is to enjoy 'retirement' and to bathe in the satisfaction of time well spent
