Infantry movement speed

I can't seem to be able to change the campaign map movement speeds for infantry. When I change the "movement_points_modifier float" in "descr_campaign.db" for infantry, cavalry, and artillery the infantry speed does not change. Anybody know how to change it? Thanks

There isn't a modifier for infantry in that file. There are only modifiers for arty and cav. If you're finding one then it's just the left over wishful thinking of some previous modder.

As for where to change the base movement speed, maybe it's desc_character, and maybe within that file it's the top 'starting_action_points', but I forget.

The designers made their life simple: as Taji mentioned, there is the 'movement_points' entry at the top of the descr_character. THIS is your base for the infantry speed.
The entries for cavalry and siege in the descr_campaign_db file are simply a multiplier based on that.

So all infantry will move at the same speed no matter what correct? You can't have skirmishers marching faster on campaign map than heavy infantry?
