Mordor?

Wow, Mordor is so hard for me, I have full stacks of orcs and archers, yet half stacks from gondor and Rohan are OWNING ME! I took the white city (Minas Trith) But for some reason the Gondorians and Rohans just suddenly had 4-5 stacks and pushed me all the way back to where I started, Black gate and the citadel made of diamond, I forget what its called!

Well pretty much every other faction other then maybe OoTMM have better quality units then Mordor.

Agreed. You can use every army as Mordor and you will win, as long as you take a Nazgul to lead that army. Their bodyguard is one of the strongest in the whole game, the Nazgul themselves also have an insane ammount of hitpoints and they will cause fear among your enemies especially because of their hero ability.

That would be Minas Morgul. But anyways, Mordor is problematic. Your stacks do trash and cost a lot. I personally decide to wait and then field some olog-hai and uruks.

Personally, I think Mordor is the easiest faction in the game.

Mordor is a almost totally footsoldier faction with lots of numbers(Both in terms of combat and recruitment speed), below-average morale and stats, and commanders that(Aside from the Nazgul) are also footsoldiers. They are not what one would call 'the easiest', looking at the raw numbers. You have to learn not to give a damm how many men it takes, and flood them(with appropriate counters, of course). The strength of Mordor is weight of numbers and one of the more secure positions. You'd almost consider them kin to the Dwarves, of all things.

Tactics is simple=Infantry in front and sides, archers behind, KILL EVERYTHING. There's not much you can add to it. Gradually replace your Orcs with Uruks when they unlock, add Trolls when THEY unlock. Gondor dies first. Osgilliath holds Gondor at bay, as does Cair Andros. Try and take and hold a few settlements near Dol Guldur. From there the world's your target, I guess.

Nazgul are useful for helping the horde either through cavalry charge or Terror of the Nazgul(It's map-wide, remember Witch King has two shots of this).

Simple? Perhaps. Easiest? That's uncertain.

I also think Mordor is one of the easiest factions...
Even before you get trolls you can first built up your economy and send thousands and thousands of orcs, very easy to beat gondor back and than, when trolls are available the whole thing gets even easier...

The economy of mordor is very good and you can simply send thousands of orcs- If a few hundreds die, it doesn`t matter. Use your nazgul to break any formation and let whole armies flee in terror. And once you get trolls..

Honestly, it`s harder to lose with mordor than to win with it.

I actually found the economy of Mordor to be very hard? Interesting...

Mordor is the easiest...and most fun faction to play IMO. Use Nazgul, flank enemy, kill everything. Early in the game get Morannon Guard as soon as possible. Put them in Shciltrom, and wait for Gondor to come to you. Don't try to attack them. Once they reach your schiltrom formation, they will be dead stuck. So take Orc Maulers around the flanks, and hit them from behind. They are armor piercing so they will do insane damage to Gondor soldiers when flanking. Next take your Nazgul and flank as well. Rinse repeat in every situation except sieges which are more difficult.

Also, don't even worry about Archers. Even Uruk archers as awful, focus on infantry, and don't worry about loses to arrows. Only ranged unit worth having are Troll catapults...they are awesome.


Also, Diplomatically your doing it wrong. Make peace with Rohan, and focus all strength on Gondor. Then hit Rohan from behind using the passage from the Dunharrow to Edoras. Hopes this helps.

Mordor units: RR/RC has some additional ones, including the deathly beautiful Dismounted Black Númenóreans.

EDIT: hmm, seems vanilla has them too, but only in custom battles.

Not unless you change them so your able to use them in CB export_descr_unit etc.
