    Default How to turn off Landbridge after installation

    I know it is something like LANDBRIDGE:TRUE to LANDBRIGE:FALSE butI do not know the file location
    Passing on to describe the way in which Napoleon employed ‘principles’ or ‘ingredients’ for the prosecution of War, it must from the outset be understood that his strategical and tactical systems followed no closely ruled pattern. Every operation was unique; no two were ever quite the same. However, the underlying every Campaign and battle were certain fundamental, which were applied according to circumstances.
    ‘Strategy is the art of making use of Time and Space,’ wrote the Emperor”

    Rome - Total War\xgm\Data and its right at the bottom called "xgmversion"

    "Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
    "She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
    "More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
    "Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

    No, that file just says which build of XGM you have, nothing else.

    @Mad Monk
    You need to find the preferences file, the location of which differs depending on what OS you have. On Vista, it's in C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision(or The Creative Assembly)\Rome - Total War\xgm\Preferences folder, I think.

    To add or remove landbridges, run the XGM installer again, keep your other options the same, but change the landbridges option. The change will affect existing campaigns, but it may also cause instability if a stack gets caught at sea.

    The banners are controlled by a setting in [rtw]/xgm/preferences/preferences.txt:

    SHOW_BANNERS:FALSE

    and what would happen if i changed this to true?
    UNIT_EXPERIENCE_UPGRADE_EFFECT:FALSE
    When units gain an experience point on the battlefield they get a little fairy dust sparkly effect.
