    Default Lithuanian Cavalry

Does anyone find this Campaign extremely stupid and unfair for the Teutonic Order?
Yes they have the best troops.
Yes they have the most men.
Yes they are the most advanced.
Yes they have a lot of land.

But honestly, how the hell do you defeat Lithuania other than blitz-sieging every settlement they have. Lithuania, like most of the other Eastern European factions, has extremely missile cavalry and infantry. Teutonic Order is the complete opposite, great cavalry and infantry, but it lacks any missile cavalry whatsoever.

All Lithuania does is pump out those Calvalry Militia and they constantly just skirmish with you. Your heavy cavalry cannot keep pace with them and gets ripped to shreds by the javelins. This is exactly why I hate Eastern European factions. Missile cavalry makes the game interesting, but it makes the game extremely annoying at the same time.

So, if Lithuania didn't have the missile cavalry, how in the world could they beat the Teutonic Order? Lithuania also has no allies whatsoever in it's pagan struggle, so when playing as them your missile cavalry is really a life saver.

I think the Teutonic Order should get some decent missile cavalry.

Probably historically the Order didn't have horse archers so CA didn't include them into the faction roster. You have to counter the Lithuanians with archers, if you can't catch them, kill them from distance.

Maybe later in the campaign, but in the first 20 or so turns, Teutonic Order goes bankrupt or close to it almost immediately so you have to use the troops you get at the start, and the few archers you get from them.
And I think the Order should have access to converted Lithuanian Missile Cavalry.

I think that would be a little unfair.

The reason why your cav get tear to shred is because you keep chasing them..............................stop chasing them! ^^ . Hire merchenary crossbow or cuman horse archers if they available to you

Or at least get 2 knecten in your army and micro them properly, then you can catch up

At later period you'll get mounted crossbowmen which helps out alot......so personally, Teutonic is the one that get the slightly overpowered unit roster

Teutonic order was crushed by that "Lithuania" D: in 1410 acompanied by poles, after which teotonic order didn't restored it previuos stenght in europe anymore. There is also a historical battle avalible about that. Yet there is no Lithuania as faction in medieval 2 (which I find amusing, since it was one of the most strongest pagan force in europe in middle ages, steching from baltic see till the black sea cost)

Now basicly how such Easter country which didn't used heavy armor plating and such, managed to fight off 2 knight orders (one from Riga, other is was Teutons, we simply call them cruseders). Tacitc. Simple, if you have light manuvrabel troops, lure enemy at marshes and swamp forests.

well but put reality aside... if you can't deal with lithuanian cavalry, how do you expect to deal with mongols then?

Wait maybe this is about Medieval II kingdoms? They have Lithuania is expansion?

    Oh gosh MUST HAVE !

A major correction: it was Lithuanians who acompanied Poles, not the other way (Lithuanians in strenght of 10k moved to Poland and joined 20k Polish army and then together moved on Teutonic territory under the command of Polish king).
A minor correction: it should be Poles, not poles.

About missile cavalry in Teutonic Order. Historically in XIII-XIVc the major part of Teutonic army consisted of Prussian freemen that often fought mounted and yes, they could use javelins like their relatives Lithuanians (both are Balts).

Ye just a minor thing. Lithuanian decedent was a king of Poland at that time. And Lithuanian Grand Duke leaded the maind battle. And Lithuanian forces were the ones which actually beaten the Teotonic Order. Tactical retreat, and later surrounding the crusade force. I'm sure you analized the evolution of the battlefield, yes?

I rather stick with tactics as more important than just men meat

Also then you are describing people who are decedents of some nation or country you don't use capital latters, since it's not their name or anything. Simple grammer.
