    Yes. Most major mods have an option to install into steam, also it is not difficult to install mods to steam.

    You just have to use the Steam directory for mods, which should be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rometotalwar

    if you buy rtw from steam, can you install it on other comps/laptops?

    Yes, you just have to have your steam account logged in, you may then download it, if my understanding is correct.

    Also, for some mods you will need to change your launch opitions.

    I'm not sure I don't like steam because as a add-on it would be nice to have a built in community but needing it to play?That's what I don't like about it.
