Default 2 Questions about North Afrika

I am playing as the Romans and I have subjugated North Afrika, but I cannot hold it, I am sufferig from Carthaginian Rebellion after Carthaginian rebellion.

How do I hold these buggers?
How can I get more Governers, I barely have enough Governers to cover the Italian Peninsula so Help!
If I eliminate Carthage as a factions, will there still be Carthaginian Rebellions or will they just be standard slave rebellion?

    Help!

I have found that North Africa has a high level of base unrest. There is no easy way to take it as the Romans and you may have to exterminate the populations of cities more than once before you can impose order. It will make you feel better to know that once you have destroyed Carthage as a faction cities that rebel will only be rebel and not a re-emergent Carthage.

Also, all of the Carthaginian controlled islands are a pain to subdue because the Carthaginians will build Eastern Civilized colonies and the native population is Barbarian, so there will be a ton of unrest until you can get happiness buildings and western civilized colonies built. That takes many turns and you will probably lose control of the islands (especially the Balearics) at least once.

Finally, you may already know this, but you will never have enough generals to govern more than 30% of your cities. So, choose who goes where wisely and put the guys with the most influence in your angry African cities.

Whether Iberian or Roman, taking their islands before the mainland is best I've found. That way you avoid having to deal with eastern immigration. Plus, it allows you to get some trading with Iberia before taking them after Carthage.

1st of all: make carthago your capital. 2nd sack every city you have conquered no matter how many population it has. 3rd build temples for Neptune in every coastline cities and temples for Jupiter for continental town. 4th delay building western civilization colony as long as possible, remember to build more farms, sewers, arenas in that time. 5th set automanage for all north africa-this will prevent rebellion by adjusting tax for every cities. Remember first city fit to build western colony has to be Carthago because it is the capital and most populuos city. Keep at least 6 units of town militia in each towm, dont worry they are cheap and will lower population >>>> lest unrest. When rebel appear, destroy them as soon as possible so there will be no devastating effect on unrest. If u worry. About dont have enough western immigration or general, buy diplomat they have western civilization traits. Hope this will help!!!

Use the cheesy Diplomat Exploit - 10-20 diplomats in a province = population conversion so fast you wonder why you never played this way before.....

Its BI exploit - for converting the religion of a provinces population to Christian...

Fix the problem, not the blame!

That exploit is great and all, assuming you can actually keep the settlement long enough to build the colony.

What I do is take the settlement 1st, 2nd make it as happy as possible and then build the colony, when the colony has 3 turns left to build I bring in that turn 6 diplomats (or more if needed to tip the balance to a greater extent) that slowly convert the culture and the balance is usually right by the time the colony is built, putting taxes to low at the very last turn also helps, occasionally recruiting needs to be done to stop riots but once the population is converted they can be disbanded again.

"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

    Kill the pawns!

Yet it seems like each North Afrikan town is populated by Stallone, Liam Neeson, Mistah T, and Russel Crowe. IT seems that a town of 400 of the above can throw out a Full Roman Battlescarred Legion in 6 months!

Can you post a screenshot of the offending city, showing garrison and another with buildings and culture?
