Default Roman senate instead of roman rebels?

Just a quick poll following the roman rebels thread, would you consider it a good or a bad thing?

I personally dislike it. One thing that always marred the Roman campaigns in vanilla for me was having the Senate breathing down my neck and telling me to take some backwater settlement or blockade some port with no tactical significance whatsoever when I didn't have the troops or the ships to spare.

I don't like Senates. Their far too bossy, and completely pointless, I never play with the Carthaginian Senate either.

If it's similar to the Carthaginian senate then no, no thanks. I find it completely annoying being ordered to attack my own allies. D:

I kinda liked the Senate function in vanilla, I think it added a very welcome layer to the vanilla Romans... but I can see how they can be annoying. What happens when the Senate starts to hate you? I mean, if the Senate only has Rome wouldn't it be fairly easy to destroy them? Have not played the Carthiginian Senate version so I don't know how it plays outside vanilla.

Anyways I voted "Good!". If there has to be another Roman faction better the Senate than the RR, though I think the faction slot could be used elsewhere.

Well, in XC I made the senate a much more agreeable entity.
It will still give you silly missions from time to time but you can leisurely ignore them and with enlarged completion times they can be done without a rush.

When the senate starts hating you it will stop rewarding you but at this point you should be able to attack and destroy it without too much trouble.

i personally don't like the old ladies of the senate, they cut the "expansion liberty" of my roman campaigns... but at the same time they can guide the AI to follow a historical path... so, the choice is yours

Forget about old frail lady senate from the vanilla, We have mysterious way to turn her into Femme Fetale who would fight you in real civil war without need of previous buggy provincial campaign at all.

Of course, No Directs! No scripts! and No Manuals!

Yes, at least if we have the choice if we want to use the Senate or not.
