Default Future TW Game Ideas- Not sequels

Though I'm sure the sequels will be awesome and amazing etc. I'd personally like to see some originality

Total War game from 1500-1699 in Europe?

Total War game from 1820-1920 Globally?
-Civil War feature instead of revolution?

    WWI Total War game?

Total War game from 1800-1900 just USA?

Total War game 1490-1580 just Italy and surrounding countries (Italian Wars)?

Total War game from 1600-1650 30 Year's War themed?

Total War game from 1870-1910 New Imperialism Themed?

    give your thoughts

    America: Total War
1.Witness the growth of the USA from 1800-1900
2.Fight alongside American legends such as Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, and George Dewey
3.Play through Episodic campaigns set during the War of 1812, Mexican War, and Civil War
4.Fight historical battles such as New Orleans, Vera Cruz, Gettysburg, and Manila Bay
5.Face the economic challenges of bringing the USA from a nation of farmers to an industrial juggernaut
6.Research new technologies to bring about the era of the Dreadnoughts and development of the modern army
7.Clash with other rising powers such as Mexico, Napoleon’s France, and Great Britain
8.Struggle to balance your nation between domestic affairs and expansionism among the Native Americans and established powers
9.Deal with hot political issues such as Slavery, Suffrage, and Labor reform managing the unique American political system
10.Will you hold true to Manifest Destiny and forge the nation that exists today or falter under the pressures of Europe, Secession, and your rivals? The choice is yours. This is America: Total War.

Ew. I wouldn't buy that, really. Way too limited to Americans. A Spanish Civil War game would be nice, though. With small areas of land being military bases of involved nations, and involve a little bit of French and Moroccan region in there. Not tedious WW 1 battles, but not quick WW 2 battles either.

    America:TW?
Sorry that makes no sense, some isolated wars during a century having nothing in common. You could not base a campaign to link them all. Your suggestions look like a city (or better nation) building game.

For me, this would be the most interesting out of your suggestions.

Something to do with the middle east in the earliest stages of civilisation? (ancient babylon, phonecia etc)

But I have to agree with Xerrop and Undead, America Total War in the 19th century would be WAY too boring

Well some ideas - Ancient and Medieval cause they are my favourite eras:

Persia:TW (559 to 490 bc) with Lydia, Media, Egypt, various Greek City States, Kush, Thracians ...

Macedonia:TW (359 to 323 bc) Persia trying to reconquer Egypt, Macedonia to unite Greece and then they collide ...

Diadochi:TW (320 to 280 bc) as the name says.

Justinian:TW (500 to 630 ad) Byzanz and the reconquest of the West, Persian-Roman wars, Slavic invasions

Caliphate:TW (634 to 750) Arabs conquering half the world

Dark Ages:TW (814 to 1050) Bulgarian-Byzantine wars, separation of the Frankish Empire, invasions of Vikings, Arabs and Magyars

like any of the above. think that an Italian one with a functioning mercenary system, hundreds of little towns and a highly detailed campaign map would be awesome.

Well, CA could release a new expansion for M2TW consisting of -
    Fourth Crusade: Total War
    Reconquista: Total War
    Hundred Years War: Total War
    Russia: Total War

And they could probably release quite a few future Total War Games such as -

Khan: Total War - Khan Total War would be a game split into 6 different campaigns, all covering different eras and locations of the Mongol Empire and its expansion. The 6 Campaigns would probably be.
Tribal Warfare - The Mongols aren't a nation yet, rather groups of warring tribes with great potential. For such a leader to unite the tribes and to defend itself from the Jin Dynasty from the south, it will require skill, diplomacy, and total war. Set in the deserts, forests and mountains of Mongolia, southern Russia and Northern China.
Mongol heroes - Genghis Khan and Subutai.

Persian Conquest - The two greatest Empires in the world, Khwarezmia and the Mongol Empire are at war. For the Mongols to continue their conquest and claim to be the mightiest Empire in the world, they will have to destroy the Persians. Set in Transoxinia, Persia and Central Asia.
Mongol Heroes - Genghis Khan, Jebe Noyan, Subutai, Tolui, Jochi, Ogedai and Chagatai.
    .
The Endless Steppes - The Mongol Empire is now at the very border of the feudal Russian Principalities. For the Mongols to continue their advance, they will have to remove great nations like Georgia, Kiev, Novgorod and even the great Cumans of the Steppes. Set in Russia, and the lands south and west of the Caspian Sea.
Mongol Heroes - Batu, Jochi, Jebe Noyan and Subutai.

The Golden Horde - The Mongol Empire now spans from China to Russia, but the Cumans have fled to Hungary, giving the Mongol Generals a chance to invade Eastern Europe. But, Hungary, Poland, the Baltics and the fearless Teutonic Knights stand in their way. Set in Eastern Europe and the beginning of the Steppe.
Mongol Heroes - Batu Khan, Subutai, Kuyuk and Mangku.

Arabia - It is nearly 70 years since the great Genghis Khan united the Mongolians under one Khan and now the Mongols are set on destroying Islam. However, Islam is not without power, the Caliph of Baghdad wields the largest army in Asia, the Egyptians have reconquered the Holy Lands and the Seljuk Sultanate is reversing the wounds inflicted upon her by Byzantine. Spans across Persia, Egypt, Anatolia, Arabia and the Holy Lands.
Mongol Heroes - Arik Boke, Hulegu and Berkei

The Far East - The Mongols have conquered from the Pacific to the Mediterranean, but the Great Chinese Dynasties still remain in the south. The Song Dynasty, the Koreans, the Tanjuts, the Vietnamese...all are ready to defend to the end. Spans across South East Asia, Korea, China and Tibet + Northern India.
Mongol Heroes - Mangku Khan, Kubilai Khan, and Subutai.

    I'll do more later.

Factions could be amazing. Some standouts for each campaign.

Tribal Warfare - The Mongols, Turkics and the Tartars...
Persian Conquest - Khwarezmid Empire, the Mongols, Kanglis, Kara Khitai...
Endless Steppes - Mongols, Plotsk, Galicia, Novgorod, Chernigov, Kiev, Suzdal, Riazan, Georgia, Bulgars, Cumans, Tabriz...
Golden Horde - Mongols, Cumans, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Teutonic Order, Novgorod, Lithuania, Dukedom of Austria...'

The Battle of New Orleans would be the most boring historical battle in the history of total war. Why would anyone want to play a hill storm?

I think a Renaissance: Total War would be awesome. It could be from 1500-1700. It could include the colonisation of the Americas in better detail than kingdoms did it. Gunpowder will at least not be the most prominent factor of a game like this. There could be minor campaigns like Europeans nations in India and Asia, and the taking of Africa.

for gunpowder fans, Deutsch Vereinheitlichung Total War (German Unifacation Total War)
The ability to play as all (or at least most) of the German city-states and empires. Bavaria, Prussia, Saxony, Berlin, etc.
Possibly Hero units like in Shogun II such as Bismarck for the Prussians.
Emergent factions: Deutsch Weltreich, Austria-Hungary as it began to take German Territory
Time span- 1871-1918 1 month per turn.

I'd love to see a 17th century Total War. Thirty Years' War, English Civil War, Battle of Vienna, War of the Grand Alliance, etc.

I think its more Interesting to have a semi global setting rather than regional ones who are better suited to expansion packs, unless the strategical features [campaign map] are much better than what the TW series currently offers...
History wise the areas you mentioned are too similar to the TW already released, ww1 is never done because trench warfare has no gameplay value, and ww2 has been done too death since video games exist.

If anything, Rome should be redone starting with
Persian-Greek war and ending in 33 AD. And handle emerging factions better than a full stack popping up from nowhere. And the campaign map really need to stretch further from the civ model.

If its not moddable no way I buy it tho
