    Default Battle name script

    I've tried to create this script some time ago, without success.
    My idea was to give a particular trait to a general. If he has fought a big battle near (for example) Avaricum against Gauls, the trait would be: "Battle of Avaricum" descr: this general has defeated the Gauls in a great battle near Avaricum.

    Could be possible to implement this trait in a future patch for RSII or is it too abstruse?Just curiosity!

    You might want to use directly a trait rather than a script.

    To be honest, I don't think it really adds something, and coding triggers and traits for every factions and every settlements would be just painfully long.
    The way it currently is in RSII, with some kind of triumph once you have conquered an area, and the name that comes with it, is much more interesting role-playingwise.

    :-) The problem infact is the time, howewer it would be great to see (maybe in a future TW game) battles with names!

    It's a nice idea. At the very least you now have an idea for a submod after release, right?

    Why not eheheh I have started to work to a Mod some mounth ago on my own (graphically very accurated), I was about to request a special forum but when I've saw the work of RSII I realized that this would be the final mod The battle name was one of my undeveloped ideas.
    However with the traits it's necessary to be cautious, because I know they can cause problems.

    The only 'mechanism' in the trait system of RTW to reward a General for any particular battle related to a 'region' is if that General takes a city. That 'condition' is built into the game. But there is no way to reference a battle that took place 'near' anything, or just 'in' a region.

    I understand.
    In fact in my tests I tried to combine the gameplay script with the traits, a mixture of Near Tile, Number of enemies, Give Traits ecc.. But it was hard Thanks for the answer!
