It was triggered by the reports of a black girl getting raped by a group of Asians. It was almost certainly false. There has been a lot of friction in between the communities for a while, apparently.

UK, I had just assumed it was Birmingham Alabama, since that was where a lot of racial issues in the 60s came to a head, with protests and such happening there all the time. But when I looked at the US news, I saw nothing.
Kind of weird that the city with the name "Birmingham" is always a place where racial riots begin.

The actual rape maybe false as no one has come forward. It boils down to the fact that multi-culturalism and a multi-religous society does not work in this country. But the oldham riots was due to the fact that the asians wanted it for themselves so they systematiclly targeted black and white people so when the whites fight back we are seen as rascist. Mane thing is though a freind of mine was walkin through Lodham and asians were chasing a black boy later they ran past him again and they asked my friend which way the black lad went but my friend gave them the wrong direction. Also the whites involved in the oldham riots were not involved because they were rascist but because they were Stoke City football hooligans but there were some white rascists involved
