    Default iNSTALLING ss 6.1 + RC/RR in Windows 7

I've finally upgraded to Windows 7 and I want to start playing this mod again and i was wondering if there any issues i need to know about, I've installed M2TW+ Kingdoms and it loads OK, do i need to do anything special to get mods working, this one in particular.

    Cheers.

UAC off during installation seems to be the main thing, I'd administrative priviliges for kingdoms.exe and leviated security settings on the medieval 2 total war (and below) along with removing any writeprotection that might exist in said folder and all folders below. Oh and your topic might be moved one forum down (or up?...) into the RR/RC main forum

It is also a good idea if you have not with windows 7 and vista is to put games in a different dictionary than Program Files. the default location for medieval 2 is C:\Program Files\Sega i believe. I like to put medieval and other games in C:\Games.

Yep, I would highly suggest not installing in Program Files as well. I have W7 and have had some crazy stuff happen, but everything went away when installed in a different directory.
