Default 4 turns not working! Halp!

As I was playing the campaign, i found that the 4 turns per year thing is NOT working! after discovering this i did a complete reinstall of the GOLD Edition (single disc 1.5/1.6 patched) and then reinstalled the 1.9 platinum full. game still works, but the 4 turns per year is NOT taking effect. How do i get it to start working?

Is there any optional mod for RTRPE that installs the 4 turns per year feature? I MUST have it. Thats the whole reason i wanted to play this mod!

    ExRM?

I don't know if RTRPE even has 4tpy. There might be an add-on somewhere but I wouldn't know - not played platinum for ages.

"The 6.0 Gold "Grand Campaign" was the final creation released by the original RTR team and was designed to work on top of RTW v1.2. The campaign map consists of nearly 200 regions and covers all of Europe, Northern Africa, and extends east nearly all of the way to India. The 1.9 Platinum version is a port of 6.0 Gold for the newer RTW v1.5 / BI v1.6, with some bugfixes for problems found in 6.0 Gold and some new content (2 new playble factions, 4 turns per year). " this is from the official rtr website http://www.rometotalrealism.org/download.html

    Rant (Optional reading for amusement/confoundment):

Is it just me, or does it seem like forever until someone provides useful information in response to technical questions on this site? Seems like every time i ask a specific question nobody here knows wth im talking about! its like i'm talking to a wall sometimes! sorry, i just had to get that off my chest... but seriously!

Sir Carados, I have installed ExRM onto a different computer, and I have to say its working almost as planned. But when I load a save game, the 4 turns feature is disabled. This is strange, because starting a new game causes it to have the 4 turns feature working.
So, is there some file that I have to reset/delete before loading a save to make sure the 4 turns per year works?

Zippy, there is 4 turns per year on RTR Platinum, it comes as an optional add-on.

    This is built into ExRM.

The script needs to be started every time you load a save or start a new game. Go to Options and then reset the advisor and click on a settlement. If that brings up the advisor's portrait flashing in the corner then click it to start the script. This can take a few tries to work though.

Finally! Sir Caesar Augustus! You are a scholar and a saint. Btw where can I get that optional add on for RTR platinum? I've looked at some of them and I can't seem to find any that say they do that.
It's weird that the official site would say the PE already has it built in tho, it's pretty misleading.

Also, to all the PE and EXRM developers, thank you for making me blow the dust off my RTW disc, it feels like its been years since I've enjoyed playing RTW!

Zippy, the thread with the download link is located here.

I know that RTR Platinum isn't actively being developed as a cohesive whole anymore, occassionally people seem to add a few refinements to it. ExRM, in my opinion, is the best of the Scotland to India scale campaigns of those that I've tried (admittedly I've not played many).

I don't know how active the official RTR site is anymore, I know the forums migrated to TWC a few years ago. I would go with any information you find on these forums rather than the RTR site for now.

Mods are truly where the enjoyment comes into RTW, and probably most TW games

RTRPE 1.9 is, for all intents and purposes, a completed modification. No one works on it anymore. This is why you're experiencing slow response times - all the developers have gone!!

There are mods around that utilize RTRPE as a base - ExRM and AqDs modification are two examples (pay close attention to the requirements for AqD's). There is also CC's Fortuna Orbis, which is a hybrid ExRM/RTRVII modification that is in the works. The current Rome Total Realism team have been working on a series of projects starting with the Iberian Conflict (TIC), then Fate of Empires (FOE). Currently, RTRVII is in the works. Check my signiture for the base RTR forums (or hit that link, either should work). You can locate the many sub-mods of RTR Gold/Platinum as well as Gold/Platinum itself in the sub-forums at the top.

Note: the current RTR team is completely different to the one that brought you Gold/Platinum. Some of the developers might not even know these forums or even the website exists
