Difference Between SS Versions?

Hello, I've recently gotten back into Med 2 and already I've grown tired of Vanilla. I'm curious though, out of the different versions on SS (6.1, 5.1, 4.1 etc.) what are the major differences in them? In terms of game-play, difficulty, bugs, add-ons, and anything else of worth.

i know one of the version still has americas on it...

also, faction reworking, TONS of bugs fixed... etc... some ppl play older versions for the fact that it has americas or that the map is set up in a different way

I suggest you read the features list of each version in their respective release threads

I think the main cliffnote is: If you have kingdoms, download 6.1. If you don't download 4.1 and consider buying kingdoms after you aquired a taste of/for stainless steel.
