    Default Question about campaign script...

I didn't want to create this topic as I have a feeling that it's created a lot, but I read the FAQ and I really didn't get it.
    .
I always turn the campaign script on like the game says me to do, but I don't see the difference when I dodn't do it, exepect when it's on the game becomes much more heavy.
    .
So, what does exactly it do?

If you don't run the script...and make sure you deselect and reselect a city just to make sure it was activated (sometimes it's not), then there are a certain set of actions or events that won't take place in-game. I am not aware of every single event or action, but I do know some basics. For one thing, you know all those pop-up messages that say stuff like, "Oh, by the way Imperator, you are encroaching on Sicily, Carthaginian territory. This is going to ruin our truce with them...", or "One of your Greek colonies is under attack!". Those story-line gameplay aspects will not occur. Also, the AI would go bankrupt in a heartbeat if the script wasn't activated. The script gives the AI factions much-needed money to make up for its stupidity (relative to a human of course). I think there's a saying around here that goes something like, "You have the brains. They have the money." GG

Take a look at the script file (EBBS.txt in EB/Data/scripts).

    It handles, among other things:
    - the seasons
    - AI population replentishing script
    - AI money bonus
    - AI governments
    - Reforms
etc... (just look at the list at the beginning of the file)

In short playing without, is playing RTW with some EB units and dead AI.

The first thing you will see are only two seasons per year - summer and winter as in vanilla RTW. No three summer and one winter turns ...
