Icon9 Problems With Lag later in Campaign?

Okay, now I know some of you may recommend that I simply turn down my graphical settings but I can assure you that that is not the problem. I can play the beginning of a campaign (first 50 turns) with absolutely no lag, even in battle with full armies on both sides and I don't lag, but after turn 56 or so on every game I have played, the load times become incredibly long, the game freezes when the other countries start moving between my turns, and battles become virtually unplayable because of lag. Does anyone have any insight on what is happening?

the lag in campaign map is normal.

the lag in battle map that is the problem, if its during seiges, then it is also common.

if it is during normal field battles, you might want to check out the number of people on the field, if its higher than 8000 the game takes a hit in performance

Oh okay >.> the field battles are never a problem unless I have 9 troops of mortars all firing at once. Sieges, especially those in the india theatre, cause a lot of lag when I have my full armies.

Is it even possible to have 8000 troops on the field at once?

it is possible to have 15000 troops at a battle, if you're specs are not high end don't recommend though, or for that matter if you like to play without the AI going insane don't do that

what you can do is to lower the quality of the buildings, I do this when I play in India, its more of a game bug that one, some troops get trapped in the walls and then the game has to use resources trying to dislodge those troops, your cpu goes crazy
