To all those complaining about the next TW not being in Europe

Stop complaining about a MUCH NEEDED change in scenery, nearly every Total War game has been based in Europe, how can you not be sick of killing French/German/English/Vikings/Barbarians already, there's already been a Total War game based around Ancient times (Rome), the Medieval, early Renaissance, and Dark Ages periods (Medieval 1 & 2), and the 18th and 19th centuries (Napoleon, Empire).

We have enough Total War games based around Europe for s sake, I'm sick of killing Gauls so I can take over France, I'm sick of killing the English so I can take over England, I'm sick of Europe in general.

So stop saying you won't buy the next TW game or you think CA is some sick twisted Company just because it isn't based in Europe for the one thousandth time, you're only making yourself look like an immature idiot that can't handle a good much needed change.

Well there are huge numbers of dedicated numbers of really dedicated gamers in Japan, China, Korea, (several Korean MMORPG players have died of dehydration at their PCs rather than leave a session for Chrissake) and even the US who just don't feel that enthusiastic about European history and don't buy as many of CA/Sega's products as they'd like.

Having - maybe- one in every six of their major releases cater to those markets is hardly a terrible thing.

And if it wasn't for Shogun there would be no Total War series for us to spend so much time kvetching and whining about.

And guys:

You don't like it don't buy it - and add it to the very long list of things we all have in our heads of stuff we don't really like but manage to get through most days without constantly complaining about.

Many Chinese and Koreans would take playing a "Japan" campaign as a grave insult, therefore I suggest that CA expands the Shogun universe to the China and Korea ... give them a choice to FIGHT AGAINST and NOT AS Japan, if you want to increase your market share (and make those damned DLCs work in the Asian region)

Don't get me started on the Germans.

there has already been a total war game based on the shogun era...and it is the only one yet I didn't care about (I want to relate to whatever I am conquering or whoever I am playing)

Yeah, and at the same time, you are denying the Asians for their chance to relate to the factions in the game.

Especially given the fact that we already have 4 3d total war game set in Europe, while the last total war game based in Asia is not even in 3d, and only Japan and Mongols are featured in Shogun Total war.

I really hope it is Shogun Total war II which im sure will include korea, china, vietnam etc i want to see sieges of cities again! imagine being an absoulete emperor of china...fighting in misty valleys and bamboo forests, on rice paddys seeing the blood stainning the water red ahhhh its going to be so good! plus all the buildings are wooden imagine how much fire and smoke there would be!!

I have deleted several posts which belong in the VV forums, this thread has proven that discussion isn't possible in here without derailing. Therefore i will close it.
