i never had a technical problem with my harddisk
but i had 2 harddisks crash in 2 different computers in the last month
in both cases the computer doesnt recognise the harddisk any more
can it be because of the game?

The only way it can happen is if MTW2 uses your HDD really very very much (low RAM, very fragmented) and causes overheating.
And it unlikely that it will happen even then.
More likely its caused by high humidity or few well placed kicks under the table.

Can it ruin your hard disk? No, but it CAN ruin your life ...
No it's not possible. Never heard of a game capable of changing machine code
Dunno about hard drive failure - but my PSU seems to have burnt out after only a couple of weeks beta testing SS6.3.
(and only a couple of hours a day too.)
This game can totally ruin your HD. If you keep constantly making new installs of it your HD will eventually burst like a pignata and all the files will come pouring out because there'll be too many of them for the HD to hold. It's like a balloon aaand...something bad happens.
