RS 1.6 How do i change the background bottom pane picture?

Hi.
Really liking the mod, been a long time since ive played RTW.

Only thing im not keen on is the background picture on the bottom pane in the campaign map where the building options are (Not sure what its called). How do i remove that as i find it too distracting that it blends into the building pictures. I think its in the battle pane too.

You want to remove the user interface (UI)

For battles its easily done , just go into your preferences and change minimal_ui:TRUE to minimal_ui:FALSE

Is this what you want to do ?

No what I think he means is the picture of the 2 roman generals when you are viewing the map (behind the settlements building icons, this assuming he plays Rome) though I don't know how to remove it

Aye the picture of the Roman General and 3 friends on horses in the UI . Maybe its my vision but i just find it horrible when other pics or icons go ontop of it.

Ive had a quick look at the file names but nothing seems like an easy delete fix =)

I dont think its possible on the campaign map , unfortunately !

from user interface... change it with the vanilla one if you don't like it... only make sure you don't change the symbols for factions and other specific stuff... just copy paste the images there and delete the ones you don't like...

someone show me a picture of what he means , cuz i think what he means, i saw some players with a diff IU when havein a screenshot of there campaigns

yea i guess that he wants to change that UI

i think this picture , check the UI its the older RS right 1.5? anyay he might have seen this 1 of Darius, while this person was playing he romans.

there is a pdf file in data folder (sorry, can't remember the name), which you can edit with photoshop. I've done it with mine, and I have an ancient gladiatorial fight mosaic picture now.

it is in fact fairly simple, just make sure you check the size in pixels and make sure you are very very precise when editing it. i've placed another image on top of it as a new layer (if familiar with photoshop) exact size in pixels. hope this makes sence

sorry for late reply. here are the pictures. i know iknow, i've ripped the first one from Rome TV Series, but i'm big fan. the second one is the one with greco-roman mosaic. i was trying to find the file, it is .tga file and not the other one i've mentioned before, but couldn't find it as there are numerous files in there
