Hate my brother/ need a favour

Long story short a certain someone doesn't understand that other people use the computer, and as such certain icons shouldn't be deleted. The git got rid of my start up icon and now I have no idea how to play the game. If I double click the BI.exe it just runs BI (who would've thought it?) and am asking if anyone could either upload their own shortcut so I can tweak the 'start in' bit to play it or tell me how to make my own shortcut from scratch. Let's see here... try start menu, programs, and then I think activision... or you could uninstall and it repair which doesnt uninstall the game. it checks files and fixes anything that needs to be fixed.

Or just create a new shortcut in your desktop. In your IBFD folder there should be an icon, right-click it and click the 'create shortcut' option, one will be created on your desktop. Then proceed to fill out the proper paths and viola!

Gonna give this a go. Thing is, I'm not sure what the 'target' and 'start in' parts should have written in them. At the moment the target bit is focused on the icon, and the start in bit just goes to the RR folder (I renamed my RTW folder RR for ease of use) Here's a screenie of it to explain what I can't (god knows I make no sense when I try to describe stuff!)

At the end of the 'Target' line you need to add -mod:IJ and anything else you might want like -nm (no movies), -show_err, and -ne (plays in windowed mode). Don't mess with the 'start in' line.

I put in -mod:IJ and after that -mod:RR to see if it would make it work, but a window came up saying that it was an unspecified location. Could someone put a screenshot up or write up their target line so I can see what it should like and experiment with mine? Cheers

TO CREATE SHORTCUT TO DESKTOP MANUALLY
NOTE:

If there is no Icon on your desktop then please follow these intructions:

Go the folder where IBFD has been installed
Right click on the BI.exe icon
Select "Send to Desktop"
The BI.exe Icon should now be on your desktop.
Right click on the Icon
Select Properties
In the target box, copy and paste the following:

-mod:IBFD -show_err after RomeTW-BI.exe. Make sure you leave a space between .exe and -mod:IBFD -show_err.

To change the icon selcect the "change icon" button. Then search for the IBFD icon in the IBFD folder, select it, then apply.

This should good.

Thanks Julianus, I gave it a go but my persistent (and annoying) computer stubbornly refused, so I went ahead and just reinstalled it and copied my files over.

Now I have a different problem though; I've installed the 'no scripts' script, but each time I click on a city in the game the advisor pops up and asks me to activate the script anyways! The script file even has 'NO SCRIPT' in it....

On a different note, when I installed the game the 7.3 patch automatically selected the script section to install itself in. I figured since it looks for where to go it was right, but I don't remember this happening before....is the 7.3 patch supposed to be, as I assume, installed in the RTW folder, and is my not doing this probably the reason things are acting up or is it normal?
