    Default METAL mod "finally starting" could still use some partners!!

    METAL mod stands for Myths, Events, Tales, Artifacts & Legends mod end is a submod for the latest Stainless Steel RR/RC (WIP)

    It is about all the myths and sagas in the world which can be implemented in the form of guilds, ancilleries, buildings, scripts and characters which will give the gameplay a more mythical feeling yet concerving most of the lore. The options for this mod are endless as are the legends and will be supported with 2d art, video's and historical research. Will you start the quest for the holy grail? or do you rather have the power of the spear of Christ?

    The current teammembers are:

    Patrician1 = modleader, 2dartist, writer, coder, (lore)researcher,
    Hippografisch = writer, (lore)researcher

    And we still need more teammembers who can help with making this mod possible.. In exchange i'm willing to exchange resources yo another mod or freelance a bit if i'm up to the task. Please let me know if you are interested..

    Joan of Arc can be like the William Wallace event, she could spawn if Paris is conquered (Not necessarily by England).

    EDIT: Also, you could have the ancillaries Tizona (El Cid's sword.) and/or Bavieca (El Cid's horse) for a general who takes Valencia in the Early campaign.

    And I suppose if you're going to use Joan of Arc she could have Jean d'Aulon (Her bodyguard) and Gilles de Rais (Another one of her bodyguards...who later became a serial killer of children ) as part of her retinue, bu I got these names from Wikipedia so I don't know how accurate they are.

    I also think she should also have maxed out Piety, maxed out loyalty, high command, and high chivalry.

    yeah she should become a great general which leads her people but i want to build in a trigger that she gets killed , with a event movie of the burning.. and then the land starts to revolt against the king.. something like that

    From what I've read Joan was suspected of being a heretic, but she was determined by French priests to be a good, orthodox Christian. The only reason she was burned at the stake was because of the effect she had on the French soldiers during the Hundred Years War, not because the church thought she was spreading heresy.

    You could just have an event that says 'Your general, Joan of Arc, was captured by English soldiers and burned at the stake!' But I don't think that blow over too well with players. I say keep her alive until she dies, just like any other general, Total War is all about making your own version of history after all.

    Just my thoughts.

    Something special for each faction eh? I'll do my best to come up with stuff, like:

    What are The Ring of Caesar and The Falconbanner of Caesar? Do they refer to Julius Caesar? If so, what does Julius Caesar have to do with the Holy Roman Empire?

    The Holy Roman Empire has nothing to do with the Roman Empire. Here is a wikilink about them. In fact, the Roman Empire is still around at this time, although a lot of contemporaries still refer to them a the 'Byzantine Empire'.

    as i read correctly the pope tried to restore the old empire with the holy.. i know about byzantines, yet these lands have plenty of history.. the holy empire wanting to have relics from former glory sounds reasonable i think?

    IMO, no it doesn't. If anything the HRE relics should be tied to Charlemagne as opposed to Julius Caesar or anything Roman. But that's just my opinion. *shrug*

    Weird.

    I didn't even read your post before I wrote what was below you.

    EDIT: Okay, how about the Death Shroud of Charlemagne (+2 piety, +2 chivalry or something like that).

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlemagne

    (It's under the 'Death' section)

    "This shroud covered the body of the great emperor Charlemagne, the so-called 'Father of Europe'."

    We could use those instead then, the sword I guess would give command points and the scepter piety and perhaps authority.
