The solution is presented in the OP, turn off the movies, either by using the setting dialog of the Trivial Script or by editing your shortcut (you will have to add -nm to the target line)

Are any sub-mods installed? Please run validation.bat and post your results here, we can then see if your installation is changed.

This looks fine. If you are using Vista/Win7 move the EB folder outside Program Files or install new. The last one would be a good idea in any case, stick to How to install EB if you have questions.
