    Default Modding help

This may be a silly question, and if so I apologize, but I downloaded the RM3 and I really like it. However, my question is can units be adjusted to factions that do not have them? In other words, as an example, if I'm playing the Byzantium empire and want say, a non unique unit that they do not have, like Noble Pikemen from Scotland, is there a way to add them onto the Byzantium roster / replace a unit that already exists on said roster? It may be a very obvious solution, but I'm extremely new to modding, I usually just sit down and play!

    Look for 'ownership' in export_descr_unit.txt

    Here is the tutorial:

You'll also have to change some stuff in the export_descr_buildings.txt, because inconsistencies regarding ownership between export_descr_unit.txt and export_descr_buildings.txt files may result in your campaign crashing to desktop. That was one of the problems fixed by the hotfix by the way...

you'd also need to copy the unit card and info picture to their factions ui folders (if you know what I mean), so the card doesn't show up as a peasant from rome.
