Just one question. I am curious, people's interest in history and how different it would be if certain things did or did not happen.
I was wondering what would have happened in the North of Ireland if something like Bloody Sunday had not happened? Would Civil Rights have been sucessful? would catholics have gotten equal treatment faster? Would there have eventually been conflict either way? As it boiled under the surface since the partition of Ireland in 1921?
What would Ireland be like today?
And yet another question.
what would have happened if Home Rule was granted to Ireland in 1914 before World War 1 when it was promised to the Irish constitutional nationalists. What would have happened? It would have stopped the coming tide of violence I think, even radicals like Pearse was willing to accept HR, would nationalists have then demanded more? Would Ireland be United now?
Well... thats two questions...
