    Default Disabling/editing the garrison script.

    Long story short i'm not satisfied with the way the garrison script is implemented, and would like either to completely phase it out of the mod, or learn to edit it.

    Since the creator of the mod is semi-retired, anyone can point me to maybe an old thread where such matter is discussed, and my question answered?

    I recall a download which disabled it somewhere. That really takes away from it all though.

    I understand WHY there is a garrison script, but in all the KGCM games i started it eventually meant i had to stop, because when i encounter this script, i get owned, and the game ends.
    Even tho its a good idea, giving the AI heavy unit out of the blue in the first 50-60 turns means game over for the player, and the HRE getting dismantled by everyone around him.

    Edit: i found the file to edit, which is campaign_script. Gonna start modding ^^

    what is the overall purpose of the garrison script? is it just suppose to make the game harder? what is it suppose to be representing?

    Just harder. Probably so you cant just walk around taking every castle that has a small garrison. I dont like it and deleted it.

    It's just too bad that the AI scripting etc, is so unsophisticated that this 'AI-cheat' script is even needed by anyone. A 'challenge' is apropriate. But why should we have to keep our own precious forces cooped behind the walls to defend, while the AI can march around leaving their barn door wide open? 'Challenge' isn't what people need, so much as good strategy and immersion. Just imagine the fun of racing to beat an enemy stack back to their fortress where they 'know' they'd be safer.
