Ottoman Empire cancelling Alliance

I'm playing as Russia & I've spent lots of time (and money) trying to get an alliance from the Turks.
I finally get it & they cancelled after one turn!
I was very angry because I spent all my remaining treasury on them & I got nothing from it!

I know I shouldn't be allying with them as Russia but thats beside the point, are the Ottoman Empire programmed to cancel alliances against Russia?

I'd heard of this happening with France but it seems unnessesary with Turkey.
If this is the case I can't see much replayability in this game, its linear enough as it is!

Could you take a screenshot of your nation's diplomatic status with others please? The Ottomans tend to get displeased if you have an alliance with their historical enemies like Austria.

In my campaign as France, I was able to conclude a successful military alliance and trade agreement with the Ottomans (which lasted many years) You'll just have to continually wage a war against the Austrians and Russians, and don't invade trade partners such as Great Britain.

And I'm at war with Austria, Prussia & Sweden, Britain has joined my war against Prussia & Austria as well.
and the Ottomans are indifferent to me, but when the alliance was still up they went up to Friendly.

EDIT: I can't war with the Russians though as I am them lol.

The very first thing I always do playing as the Russian in NTW is to take out the Turks. Those 4 provinces of theirs, combined with your starting ones, and the buffer that Austria and Prussia give you, are game winners.

In that case, the data files are probably coded to not allow Russia to have a lasting alliance with the Ottomans. The best course of action is to follow Mikelus Trento's advice and just take out the Turks before they become unfriendly.

Is there any way of changing this?

Surely it wouldn't be hard considering all the crazy mods people do?
It seems kinda dull having to follow certain alliances & invasions every game.

Every faction I've played the Ottomans have declared war on me.

Playing as Britain they sent a fleet and army sailing all the way across the map just to attack Wales....

Just seems they are hard-coded to hate everyone - possibly because of their religion modifiers?

It should be possible, however I don't have much experience in modding, so you should try looking around the mod forums for instructions : )
