Country in trouble

I need a little help. My countrys ruler died and hes heir was too young to take the throne. a year later my heir died via an event and now there is no heir and no ruler, only regency council. Does that mean that regency will rule my country forever??

It shouldn't be forever. It will generally however take some time before a new ruler appears.

rulers are scripted in to occur at historical times. If your playing a country that no longer existed you'll get some made up ones. But the regency will disappear when the next ruler acends the throne.
