Default running ram below its rated frequency

Hi all, Strange question, I have a mobo that is restricted to 1066 GHz max for ram. Now my question, I have 4 spare gigs of 1200 GHz ram dual channel. would it work running it at a lower 1066 speed or would it likely damage the ram or mobo? thanks in advance.

It's A-ok. You could also possibly tinker with your latency if you want.

SPD will have settings for 1066. Just stick them in, you'll be fine.
